We were stuck at the Stockholm airport, so I logged onto Hotwire to get a room and ended up at the Quality Hotel Airport Arlanda. For US$117 I was expecting a little more, but this hotel was acceptable for basic airport accomodation. The room was tiny for three people. It had one queen-size bed and a murphy-style bunk bed that folded from the wall. We were all exhausted from 24 hours of problem-ridden travel and we were only in the room for eight hours, so we slept fine. But the room was too small for a longer stay for three people. It would have been fine for one person.
As far as the positives, the shower worked great. Also, the free breakfast was surprisingly good with a vast selection of satisfying hot and cold food. The hotel is attached to a shopping mall, which is convenient if you need to pick up a few items for your travels. Also, the free bus service to and from the airport terminal was helpful, but the bus generally runs only every 30 minutes, so plan carefully or you may have to wait a while.
All in all, this hotel is acceptable for a quick transit stay, but not much more.More
