+ Getting there/Transport/Parking
Good location near airport (but a 10 minute drive). Used TomTom - easy to find.

+ Around the hotel (suburb)
Hotel is situated in an industrial suburb and there is not much closeby. I arrived late at night and went hunting down the local McD etc - but they were all closed - and a 5 minute drive away.

+ Checkin
Staff are not super attentive. They don't speak English very well.

+ Room
The rooms are pretty basic. The hotel consists of individual prefab buildings consisting of four rooms... 2 downstairs and 2 upstairs (via an external sprial staircase). Had a twin room. Beds were more like stretcher beds. Small desk area and chair. Small TV mounted on a bracket up in the corner of the room. Heating worked well. Free Wifi available and easy to configure.

+ Bathroom
Very utilitarian. Lino floor. Bright lights. My room had shower (not bath) and a basin and toilet. They provide shower gel (looks very industrial) in a wall mounted dispenser.

+ Meals
After not finding anything nearby retreated to the hotel bar to buy some crisps and chocolcates and bottles of Coke (quite pricy). Breakfast was good - served buffet style in the main hotel building. Choice of juices, tea/coffee, cold meats, cheeses, breads, boiled eggs, very crispy bacon and some hot options (like chopped vienna sausages in tomato/onion sauce).

+ What to watch out for
Had a bit of an argument about prepayment... make sure you print off all your booking confirmation paperwork and fight your case.

+ Overall
A good option for a one night stay close to Arlanda airport. Don't expect any frills.

For an overnight stay near the airport, without feeling like you are near an airport, this is a basic but comfortable place to stay. A shuttle will carry you to and from the hotel, into the country and far enough from the airport to avoid the noise.

As with most Swedish hotels, amenities were minimal--clean bedclothes, a decent tv, and a small selection of cable channels were the highlights. The shower was small, and there was no tub, but everything was clean and in good shape. A sauna with showers is available. Breakfast was included--cereals, some sort of cold fish in sauce, fruit, tomatoes and cucumbers, rolls, butter, and jam, cold cuts and cream cheese, and hot scrambled eggs, meat balls, bacon, and mini sausages (mediocre quality). A fairly good selection for an included breakfast. The price is low for this area.

Dinner was dramatically overpriced and presented as though it were a gourmet dish in the fanciest of restaurants, with tiny portions on a dramatic plate presentation. Quality was more along the lines of a standard diner--very disappointing. We had the salmon and the steak, and our assessment of both was the same--we were left wanting more--either higher quality food, or a lot more of it. I recommend planning for dinner elsewhere, if you stay here. 3 or 4 bites of slightly overcooked salmon and a small fairly tender but still somewhat gristly steak aren't really worth $70 USD.

My husband and I had to find a room for one night within reasonable distance of Stockholm. We ended up staying at Arlandahotellby, a three star hotel and restaurant complex about five minutes from Arlanda airport.

The place seemed to be designed for the convenience of people with a night's layover between flights, or who had to drive from somewhere else and take an early morning flight. (There was reasonably priced long-term parking and free bus service to and from the airport.)

The room was comfortable, the contents of the mini-refrigerator were free, and the hotel restaurant served an excellent dinner. The complimentary breakfast buffet was open from 4:30 to 9:30 am.

I had to crash overnight to catch a flight out early the next morning. I looked for the cheapest hotel near Arlanda airport. I did not expect much for the price. I simply did not want to sleep in the airport terminal. All the same, it was great, I asked for the hotel shuttle to pick me up ar Arlanda at terminal 5 rather late at night (11PM), and was driven to the hotel. It is rather like a motel with little 2 stories pod housings all around a central reception/dining hall building. I noticed that a lot of the DHL drivers overnights there. I was greeted by a nice matronly lady at the reception that sent me to my room with a free mini bar. It was nice, cosy and very clean. The decor is nothing to write home about, but the beds and linen were spotless and smelled nice and fresh. Same for the bathroom. I had a restful night, caught the shuttle early in the morning for the flight out, I did not taste the included breakfast.
