It's always exciting to find Les Ares is still there, an old auberge in the Pyrenees, and to go into the warmth of the inn and hope they have a table free. Once seated it's always an easy decision to order the lamb cutlets which they cook on the hearth fire in the dining room - it's fun watching them being cooked whilst you enjoy your starter. The selection of wines is good and not expensive. There is a good array of desserts to finish off the meal.
It's always fun to visit Les Ares where there is a very warm welcome. Remember they only take cash so make sure you bring it with you otherwise it's a long way to find a bank in the mountains! Always look forward toncoming back.
