When we checked into Siena Village, there was a strike called in kerala. We were to checkout the next day and travel to thekkady. Due to the strike, we were unable to travel and asked the front desk if we could extend our stay. While one of their front desk staff members( Mr. Shakthi) for extremely cordial and helpful, there was another guy who was most uncooperative and asked us to vacate the room the next day. Finally, we were allowed to extend our stay. Since we were going to travel to Thekkady and check into another hotel owned by the same group, "Siena Village" adjusted the room charges and we were made to pay only the balance amount which was good.
Now coming to the room, we stayed in deluxe room which has a living room on the ground floor and bedroom upstairs. The room was very beautiful and cosy and with great view. However we were travelling with a kid and so it was a bit bothersome since we had to keep a watch for my kid tripping over the stairs etc.
Buffet breakfast was great, there was a lot of choice. For lunch and dinner we ordered room service as our room was very far from the restaurant. Food was average.
Overall a wonderful resort and if our holiday was not spoilt because of the strike situation we would have enjoyed it better.

Room Tip: Ask for a room near to the main reception, otherwise its a huge walk to the restaurant.

Stayed for 3 nights in the month of november, away from munnar market a pleasant and peaceful stay for relaxation and fun. Enjoyed the food and evening entertainment organised by the hotel. Clean and beautifully decorated, with all amenities in the room a comfort stay for family like us with two kids. Must visit if in munnar as place itself is beautiful, munnar is a scenic place with great climate in kerala.

The Siena Village is an excellent resort to stay in Munnar. We had a standard room booking but were upgraded to deluxe room. The room was tidy and the bed was very comfortable. The view from the balcony is too good and awesome.

My wife developed an allergy and they were courteous enough to take us to the nearby hospital in their vehicle and did not charge anything extra for that. Food quality could be improved a bit.

Overall we had a very nice and memorable stay here.

The hotel location is very good, about a kilometer from club Mahindra(20 km from Munnar). We were with family and the stay was comfortable and made more enjoyable by the helpful and cooperative staff at the Hotel( the front desk as well as the restaurant and room staff)The buffet breakfast had good amount of variety and quality. We also had lunch and dinner in the hotel and the food quality was quite good and priced reasonably. The ambiance of the hotel was particularly very nice and was very well maintained. You can have a nice view of the scenic tea plantations and natural beauty all around. The Hotel staff showed us their cardamom plantations and vegetable garden.
It was slightly cool and breezy and since Diwali was just round the corner the hotel premises were nicely decorated and the staff had arranged a campfire with light music.
All in all it was a wonderful experience being at Siena Village.I would like to make only one suggestion that the Hotel management should arrange for proper signposting for ease of directions to tourists.

We stayed in this resort / hotel in Jan, 2011 for 2 nights. The resort is far away from Munnar town. We should have checked the location of resort before booking it through TravelGuru.

There is a steel uphill slope to enter the resort. The reception is not so welcoming. We reached the resort late in the evening and we received a very cold reception from the staff. The breakfast area was very congested and breakfast lacked variety on both the days.

The rooms are good and it opened into a large garden space.

Overall our stay was not so memorable because of its location being far from the town. One needs to have the car otherwise it is impossible to stay there.
