Owner description: The Kimberley General Store is a thriving depot in the rural village of Kimberley, set in the original store building from 1905. It's worth a trip to Kimberley for the scenery of Old Baldy and the Beaver Valley views, by bicycle, hiking trail, cross-country skis, or on the downhill slopes. Stop in for fresh baked goods, homemade soups, hearty sandwiches, and strong coffee. The store is also a meeting place for people to source local products, curiosities, general sundries, and organic goods. Find what you need in the heart of the Beaver Valley!

The General Store is like a trip back in time, before big chain supermarkets, where everything you could ever dream of needing could be found in one little well stocked store with a friendly owner behind the counter, in this case the warm and welcoming Stacie Constantine. Stop in for great coffee and a treat, or try the homemade sodas - like the grasshopper or Bee Sting - with one of their very excellent sandwiches (the egg salad is highly recommended!), buy delicious locally grown vegetables and fruit, fish and meat, or biological jams, spreads and syrups. They even carry gluten free bread and heavenly gluten free butter tarts!

The General store, true to its name, also has a well chosen selection of bio creams, balms, soaps and other products you might need from matches, band aids, sunscreen, handmade pottery and table spreads, insect repellent (biological and not), batteries, etc. Sit down on the front porch and read the daily newspaper (also available) or do your mails (free wifi) or chat with one of the locals about the best spots to visit. Truly everything you need in one great place!

The staff is friendly. The sandwiches, smoothies, and baked good are wonderful. I am always surprised by variety of groceries available and many of them are organic and/or local.

The three of us were returning from a nearby music festival, and hadn't found a good coffee the entire weekend, though we'd tried. This is the place. On top of that, the young lady behind the counter was very pleasant (sorry I can't remember your name!), as was Stacie Constantine, the proprietor. Warm, welcoming smiles both. I'll stop in again. Congratulations on a great place!

We were on a roadtrip for my nineteenth birthday. We were just passing through, and we fell in love! This is not your typical small-town store, but so much more!

Hi, do you love to bike? Grey County is wonderful - the roads are smooth, the car drivers polite, the corn fields a lovely smell, the cows curious, the rivers clear and fast. Best of all is a drink and snack visit to Kimberley General Store. Leave your bike by the fence, relax under the umbrellas, More importantly go inside to get some yummy food and chat with Stacie and Kristin, who have eyes and smiles to die for and will blend up drinks only bikers deserve.
Beware the yummy homemade pies cakes and dinners, so good but hard to carry in your bike bag.

Thank DOUG S
