The hotel is situated near the old Palampur Bus stand (1km). The hotel is surrounded by huge deodar trees and is also in the vicinity of tea garden. The hotel rooms are clean, comfortable. TV connection is provided in every room. Geysers are installed in every bathroom. Bed tea is provided by the staff on your stay. Nearby places of visit are easy approachable fro this hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms on the front phase of the hotel offers you the picturesque view.

We stayed at this HPTDC Hotel for a couple of nights during our Dhauladhar circuit driving trip..it was exactly like expected - clean, large rooms, great service, good food. The basics in a wintry place like hot running water and room heaters were in place. It is situated in a very convenient location and has large parking space. Don't expect 5 star rooms and you will be happy with this place.

Pretty affordable & located in the heart of the city, the property is neat & clean - not to mention the extremely hospitable Manager - Mr Thakur - who ensured we had a very comfortable stay....

The open expanse on front & back with nice tea gardens in the vicinity gives tremendous joy of staying in this hotel - food is good & moderately priced.

Definitely a property you can look forward to visit again.

Room Tip: Choose 1st floor rooms in the old block / right side for better view & comfort

The location of the hotel is very good - neither in the city rush nor in the jungles. Just little away from the city and along with the tea gardens of palampur.

The hotel has a wonderful restaurant with lot of options in the menu. The service of staff was also very good - they were really quick in all the aspects. In fact, I would say that they were always on their toes for helping the visitors.

Whole experience was expedited by the fact that weather in the area was amazing.

Rooms were very spacious. In fact, only difference between low cost and high cost rooms was the furniture in the room - size remained same.

Their garden was also big, well maintained. It had swings for children where my lil daughter really enjoyed.

Hotel also had ample parking space.

This stay made our trip wonderful.

Nothing much to do as this place does not offer much and the if one is visiting with any preconceived notion that tea gardens are like ones in assam, it would be a big disaapointment, hotel is also most ordinary and there is absolutely nothing you may do in the evening than to watch TV in your room....There is a road next to the hotel and tea garden view from the hotel is also not that great...Hotel was dull and i could not wait to get out of there....

Room Tip: Avoid if not absolutely required

Palampur is a small quiet town, and Hotel Tea Bud of HPTDC is situated at the quitest part of the town. So, if you love to be near the nature, go for it. Market too is not far away. I booked four beded room for my family for two days. There is only one room of this type in the hotel. Room was spacious and clean. non-carpeted but fouling smell emanating from blankets & mattresses spoil the mood. Bathroom is basic with geyser. Food was excellent, simple, light, in short, like home made. Staff at the restaurant was more courteous than that at the reception. Front of the hotel have a small but well maintained garden with swings so children enjoyed a lot. Sufficient parking space. Though both side of the hotel didn't posses a great view but it doesn't make any difference because you will find yourself in the lap of nature.

Booked a cozy double bed room online quite in advance as this hotel gets sold out pretty quickly. This decision turned out well taken when upon reaching the place we found that the hotel was full to its capacity. The check in was extremely smooth & I was given a mountain facing room in the new wing. The room was pretty basic though adequately comfortable. The bathroom too quite big but basic & so were the bathroom supplies.
This hotel is located about a KM from the main market in Palampur and is on way to the various tourist attraction such as Neugal Cafe & Saurabh Van Vihaar. The hotel is surrounded by Pine trees & is very calm & serene. The staff at the hotel is also very helpful though they have limited information about the tourist places & many of our queries were left unanswered. The room service people were also very helpful & tried to solve problems posed to them. Food was also OK though nothing exceptional.
Plus Points:
Extremely reasonable & located in a nicer part of the town.
Minus Points:
Very basic & although they claim the rooms to be mountain facing, in reality the mountain lies perpendicular to the hotel & can be viewed only partially & that too from a particular angle.
Value for money:
As I have already stated that the hotel is quite reasonably priced & the food too is quite reasonable.
