We attended a wedding at Nailcote Hall on 25th August, and all the rooms were fully booked. I found Haigs Hotel that was less than 2 miles away. The stay at Nailcote was £120 per night just for a room and almost everyone I spoke to had a complaint about the rooms and breakfast was not included. We stayed at the Haigs Hotel for less than a third of the cost and breakfast was in. The rooms were large enough and it was very clean. Unfortunately I cannot comment on the breakfast as we had consumed a large amount of drinks the night before and did not get up to sample it. Well worth the money.

Room Tip: It is on busy main road, but we had a room at the back of the hotel and could not hear any traffic...

It is possible to carp and criticise and condemn this place, and indeed previous reviews are mixed. But honestly, look at the price £84 for 2 nights double B&B, in an ideal place for us as we were attending a friend's birthday celebration literally 200m away. Comfy bed, spacious bathroom, friendly staff - only slight criticism, breakfast portions on the small side, but other than that, excellent value for money.

Hotel looked nice on the outside. Our room looked ok on the surface, the bed had an old fashioned type cover on it that was all picked and worn, when i pulled it back it was full of brown stains. The bed had an itchy blanket and a sheet,i did not sleep in it after seeing the quilt cover.luckily it was a hot night so i slept on the top of the bed.I could not have the window open to cool the room off as we were at the front of the hotel and it was very loud cos its on a main road and on a flight path.
The shower room did not have a window or an expelair. The water gurgled down the sink for about 10 mins after using it(dont know why) the shower had horrid red stains all over it,looked like it had not been cleaned for months, same goes for all the skirting boards.Looks like a child had done all the painting as they'd forgotten to do an inch all under the window sill and there were so many drips down the door that even my non d.i.y boyfriend noticed them.
The biggest off putting thing though were the carpets throughout the hotel. The ones in the dining room and all the hallways were disgustingly dirty.Looked like they'd had a a car rally going through.Breakfast was the only saving grace, although my boyfriend said the sausages tasted like a supermarkets smart price.no taste at all. I really don't know how they managed to get 3 stars awarded for this hotel.I can only think they have only ever had 1 visit for the awarding and the AA has never reviewed it again. The one thing i can say is the staff were very friendly and helpful. But not enough for me to go back.

Was pleasantly surprised by this family run friendly b&b/hotel. The room was absolutely fine and perfect for a one night stopover, yes it was dated and not the cleanest but what more could you ask for at £32 a night, with breakfast!!!!! Speaking of which, it was delicious, fresh and varied. Service was excellent all round. A great base for visiting the NEC or stoneleigh park.

The Haigs Hotel is a step back in time to a slower and more pleasant travel experience. It is run by the Chambers family and during our stay we found their hospitality to be surprising and delightful. Simon Chambers is the chef and cook and the rest of his family do other chores in the running of this small hotel. The dinners and breakfasts in the restaurant were inexpensive and delicious. This is a wonderful bargain and a real treat located close to castles, manor houses, and Stratford on Avon. Relaxing and enjoyable.

We dined here to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary. The choice of menu and quality of food was excellent and despite the restuarant being very busy the service was faultless. We thoroughly recommend the hotels Mckees Brasserie.

Terrible room. As this was booked as a superrior room i would hate to try their worst. The room was at the top with only attic windows (could not look out). To close the blind you have to stand on the bed. The room i guess was realy a family room as it had three beds with some verry scruffy sheets. The decoration was tatty as was the bathroom. The only saving grace was the breakfast. When we told reception of our dissapointment all that we were told is that they have three superior rooms and that this is one of them. I guess they are used to complaints. Dont go there.
