I couldn't recommend Gilly & Grants B&B highly enough. I was made very welcome in their beautiful accommodation, they are a lovely couple who both work hard at making your stay as comfortable as possible.
The rooms are in an annexed part of the house with it's own front entrance, and you have your own key, to come and go as you wish. There is a lounge/dining room with a kitchenette to help yourself to teas and coffees when you want. My bedroom and roomy bathroom was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated and maintained. The whole accommodation was kept comfortably warm and cosy and the bed was very comfortable giving an excellent nights sleep.
They are also really handy for the NEC being approx 15 minutes away and a very straightforward route. I would highly recommend this B & B - I really don't think you would find any better in this area. I will certainly be back whenever I am in the area again.

It was a real pleasure having you to stay, and thank you for all the lovely things you said about us.

I hope the show was a huge success for you. I thought your beautifully delicate edible flowers, all grown and chrystalised by your own fair hand, were "simply the best" and by far the most unusual in the show. Definitely something different and very special.

Hope to see you again.

For the visit to our daughter in Coventry we preferred a quiet B&B to a hotel in the city. Our choice for Gilly and Grant’s in Balsall Common just could not turn out better. They are a lovely couple who make you a very warm welcome. They make you feel so much at home and go out of their way to help you. For instance, on the day we wanted to visit London, the London Midland service into Coventry didn’t run. To enable us to get to Coventry in time for our connecting service to London, Gilly got the car out and took us to the busstop in time for us to catch the bus into Coventry.
The full English breakfast is just marvellous. The rooms are excellent and with very comfortable beds. A B&B which we highly recommend and which we certainly will go back to.

Thank you for your kind words. In fact, we enjoyed having you to stay just as much and hope it won't be too long before you return.

I hope you will look into the possibility of joining a local pilates group - and don't forget to tune into BBC Radio Four for Gardeners' Question Time on January 4th at 3pm.

Wishing you and your family a very happy Christmas.

Certainly 5 star accommodation in a quiet setting. Both Gilly and Grant were charming and helpful hosts who made us feel most welcome. The bedroom was well appointed, the shower excellent, the bed very comfortable and the pillows were a real luxury. Breakfast was first class. We frequently visit this area and have hitherto stayed in local hotels but in future we will return to G&G because the ambience, personal attention and overall presentation is far better. It is highly recommended.

We rented a room here to be near a sports event, so cannot comment on the possible attractions in this area. The B&B was charming as were Gilly and Grant, the couple who own it. They were very helpful in pointing us to possible places to eat and shop, the choice of which is, by nature of this location, rather limited. The room was comfortable and cozy with an excellent bathroom. If one wants to be hypercritical: the electrical shower was making an amazing racket for the amount of water it produced, but that could hardly bother us, as we didn't use it too often at ungodly hours. We had a lovely time there, and Gilly and Grant were also most helpful when I realised I'd forgotten my jacket. I certainly can recommend staying at their B&B!

Maybe the comment "out in the sticks" is a little misleading, but might just be a difference in language thing. We feel it needs clarification.

G&G B&B is in the large village of Balsall Common, and within an easy 10 minute walk to about 8 different eating places. The village also has its own railway station (called Berkswell Station), 3 banks, a post office, 2 general stores, 2 chemists, 2 estate agents, a delicatessen, a butcher, a betting shop, a fish and chip shop, a chinese takaway, a dry cleaners, at least 4 haridressers, a garage, a car sales shop, surgery, 2 dentists, 2 vets, a primary school and secondary school, a local taxi firm and several churches.

If you search on google maps for our post code, CV7 7AB, you will see at once that G&G B&B is in a residential position, in a well lit quiet road, a short walk from the village centre. We are not actually in the middle of a field, somewhere out in the sticks!

This really is a first class B&B. G&G are very friendly and helpful in everything. The room was as clean and quiet as can be. I loved the atmosphere and the way the room was decorated. The breakfeast was magnificent. I loved to stay and hated to go!

The B&B is in a great location for anyone visiting the NEC or Stoneleigh. The en-suite rooms are a good size, very clean and comfortable. There are some very nice touches, the galley kitchen for guests to use has a vast assortment of teas and coffees, even de-caff which was a welcome change from using my own. Breakfast is a choice of all the usual things you would expect, including a full english if you have a healthy appetite. There is also a TV for guests use in the lounge/dining room as well as in the bedrooms. The lounge is great if you are a party and want to spend some time together other than sitting in the bedrooms.
We have tried several hotels and B & B's in the Kenilworth/Balsall Common area, but this is the only one we would definetly return to. We would recommend the White Horse for their Sunday roast and the Beefeater George in the Tree for steaks etc. both only a 5 minute car journey from Gilly & Grants.
