“Nice Surprise”
Reviewed May 15, 2014

Who would have expected Cambodian food in Santa Fe. The owner of our hotel (Coffee Mountain Inn) recommended it and we are truly grateful. The first night we drove and could not find it but after looking on the hotel map the next day we were able to get there. It's a little off the road and there is a VERY small sign on the main road, so you really need to know where you are going. The food was delicious; the service attentive and the atmosphere relaxed. They have a full bar so we enjoyed cocktails and wine. One of the owners was actually our server so we received remarkable service. In our party we had the chicken curry and the vegetable curry - all was wonderful. Great evening. Go in the early evening because there is a stunning view off of the back patio during sunset.

“A great night out!”
Reviewed April 21, 2014

The location of the restaurant is a little hard to get to, but the view once you are there is fantastic! Our dinners were excellent and the hosts were attentive and service was also.
A special treat for Peter was that our host and a guest couple who were staying there spoke Dutch, which is his first language.
Prices were very acceptable for the lovely dinners we enjoyed.

“Excellent Cambodian food in the mountains of Panama”
Reviewed February 27, 2014

This restaurant was a real and a very welcome surprise. The location is out of town and the road from the road to the inn is a bit rough. But the setting is wonderful and the place looks so dramatic set overlooking the hills, a beautiful stunning view. The dining room is fairly small and the service is attentive. We were happy to eat some Asian food after the other restaurants we had been to in the highlands. The chicken curry was very good and quite spicy, similar to a Thai red curry. The fish curry was delicious and the sauce delicate and a little spicy. We'd love to eat there again - it was a treat! No-one lit up a cigarette during our dinner which we were happy about. No smoke at all!

“Fantastic food, Butt”
Reviewed February 17, 2014

What a surprise to find a Cambodian restaurant in remote Santa Fe. And even a greater surprise to find that the food was truly magnificent. It took quite a while for the food to arrive, but it was worth the wait. I have eaten Cambodian food many times both in the US and in Cambodia, but this meal was as good as it gets, The fish amok was fresh and perfectly seasoned. Others in our party had beef with ginger, chicken curry, and a vegetarian curry. All the meals were amazing.
Another surprise, and this one not so pleasant, was that the restaurant allows smoking. Why a place like this which presents such a welcoming, serene, and organic atmosphere would allow smoking is a mystery. But it did seriously detract from the enjoyment of the evening. We had planned to return to dine a second evening but changed our mind when the first smoker lit up.

“Dour business owner, warm family”
Reviewed January 30, 2014

We almost didn't go back when we met front of the house manager. But we came back anyway and had a most remarkable evening. Really excellent Cambodian food, charming server in this delightful family run business. We didn't stay here but we ate here. We'd have gone back had we been here longer.
