This is a very elegant restaurant. Everything is first class; but at the same time reasonably priced.
There were four of us for dinner and we all ordered fish. We were all very satisfied with the fish dishes and I was especially pleased with the grilled salmon.
The wine list is extensive and very reasonably priced.
There were almost no guests in the restaurant when we arrived a little before 8 o'clock. The service was fabulous. The menu is very extensive and complicated and the waitress was very patient in answering all of our questions. Two of us ordered grilled swordfish and when it arrived she could tell by the look on our faces that something was wrong. She immediately asked if there was a problem and we said that we would like it cooked more. No questions asked. She immediately took it back to the kitchen and when it returned it was cooked to perfection.
However by the time we finished eating dinner, the restaurant had filled up and the service deteriorated. I think because too many guests had arrived all at the same time. We had to wait almost 20 minutes after we finished eating before the plates were cleared. We enjoyed visiting with our friends but I still don't like looking at dirty plates for 20 minutes. We had to wait for a long time to get the check and had to ask for it twice.
We were given a complimentary prosecco when we arrived and complementary pastries after dinner. Both were very nice touches.
Bottom line is that if you're in Perugia this is the place to go for fish. If the restaurant is not overcrowded the service is excellent, but it can suffer when overextended.
