We came for the final night of our ten days and certainly saved the best for last.
The welcome we received was pleasant and the restaurant was lovely- there was a more formal part for reservations and the less for bar area where we ate.
One of the waiters explained in English what was available from the tapas bar and then brought our drinks while we decided- the bar had all the dishes beautifully displayed and the food was genuinely Spanish and delicious. We had 5 tapas and a lovely house Rioja for 30 euros and the service was impeccable.

Really lovely from start to finish

We had a fantastic evening at La Ermita from walking in the place had a buzz, we spotted the food cabinet and our mouths started to drool. Our waitress was great she explained each one, as we said we'll have one of those and one of those and one of those, you get the picture it all looked amazing. We ate some really tasty food, drank some good white Lanzrote wine and then went back for seconds. We couldn't quite finish all, such good food and lots of it . With 3 bottles of wine and we lost count of the number of plates we had it was 90 euros for 4 of us, very good value.

There is a wide selection of delicious tapas and a menu of regional dishes, You can choose the tapas from the bar, or else order from the menu. A very popular place for locals and tourists alike.
They also have very good wine by the glass and all at very reasonable prices. I would certainly recommend a visit.

Based on the reviews we read we expected a genuine local tapas bar. Which it was. We enjoyed the atmosphere with the locals a lot. As to the food: we were invited to come to the bar and pick the tapas that were already there. That didn't make for a tasty and freshly cooked product. So on that side we said: the experience is ok but we will not return.
