“new years eve”
Reviewed January 8, 2014

vistited this resturant on new years eve 2013 what a disappointment. Ordered food with great differculty, when it arrived 2 of the starters were over cooked one was ok and the other was'nt what it said on the menu. the waiter walked up and down pass the table till we had finished very off putting. the main meals arrived the fish dish was dry, over cooked and smoothered in sauce, think this was so it looked better. the lamb chops were three slices of fatty lamb again not what it said on menu, fish cassarole was nice but steak dish was luke warm, when the waiter collected the plates just shrugged his shoulders didnt bother with dessert. as there was only one other table eating could'nt understand why it was so bad. AVOID

“Nice restaurant with good food and service”
Reviewed September 17, 2013 via mobile

We had a great meal here, the waiter was very friendly and helpful, and the food is of a very nice quality.
The garlic prawns here are lovely and must be tried. We had the veal which was very good indeed. Highly recommended and will return there next year

“Really nice pizzas”
Reviewed August 23, 2013

After a wonderful visit to Saramago's House, this restaurant completed my day. Lovely food, nice waiter... I didn't have to wait to long to eat one of the best pizza's I've ever tasted. Don't be afraid of their sizes: unless you don't like pizza at all, I'll finish it quite well, even though they fill you plate up at all.
In the end the greatest of all surprises: the bill. Light, as we all like!
Whenever I'll be back in Tias, count me in, compañeros!

“Great meats”
Reviewed October 8, 2012 via mobile

Went to this restaurant last week, only found it on our 2nd to last day as it is right at the end of the town in Tias.
Was only one couple in when we looked so we were a little concerned if it was going to be ok. Anyway we went in, waiter very nice and attentive, I ordered smoked salmon starter and husband had sizzling prawns, both lovely. Plenty of smoked salmon. For main I had beef stroganoff, which I had had in Lanzarote before and wasn't very nice, but thought I would try again, the meat was beautiful and tender and the sauce lovely and rich. Husband had the sirloin, was mouthwatering. All that and 3 drinks came to 48 euros in total. Would highly recommend. It did fill up with different nationality of people, few being locals so must be good.

“Pleasant Spanish restaurant”
Reviewed July 29, 2011

We were planning on dining in Las Vinas, but unfortunately it wasnt open, so we opted to try La Casona. Its an olde worlde spanish restaurant, very attractive. The menu consisted of Spanish and "international" cuisine, pizzas, pasta etc
While the food was enjoyable, it wasnt cheap, I think this is maybe because to a certain extent Tias is a captive audience.
We spent several enjoyable hours there, I would definately return.
