Food is excellent with real Indian taste, I went there in afternoon & very hungry. The service was very quick. Girls serving food were very charming. The order was served withing few minutes and its so Indian. This hotel is known for its Taste. overall nice experience.

“Convincingly Indian cuisine”
Reviewed August 21, 2011

I invited some parents from Canada who are not really Indian cuisine lovers. We ordered as always Tandoori, chicken, and the rojan ghosh and a fish and chicken with cashew paste after a starter platter and the bryani lamb. We were not disappointed at all and the bryani was simply a feast for the mouth. The staff seemed a bit overloaded and somewhat slow. Have to tell you that I have been eating at Happy Rajah since 2010 and been there now for more than 5 times.
Go for it if you want to change and you will sure get value for money.

“Very tasty”
Reviewed July 3, 2011

Went to happy rajah for the first time a few days ago. Was well impressed with the food-very tasty and easily the best Indian in Mauritius. The decor of the restaurant was bril too. My only suggestion for the restaurant is that the waiters could be trained to smile a bit more, although the service is generally better than what you get in most restaurants in Mauritius.
