We've been to this place quite a few times since it opened with the name "the Gardener's Arms". It changed names a few times, and supposedly management. It was always a very mediocre place, but since we hadn't been for a year or two, we decided to give it a go, attracted by the big signs outside the restaurant advertising "Food Served All Day". We ran from the adjacent car park as it was pouring down with rain; we could not access the back door, so ran to the front. We waited in reception, only to be told by a very embarrassed waitress that "unfortunately, we stop serving food at 5 pm", at which I replied "what, at teatime?"
Unbelievable. At this, we were directed to F&B's around the corner. As for this appalling experience, turn to my previous review.
The moral of the story - 'mean what you say, and say what you mean'.
