We had a great family day at the animal park. Little bit disgruntled paying for our daughter who is only 18months old. But our four year old loved it. The animals are in big well kept enclosures and the viewing areas are great. They are currently extending the park and we look forward to going back when this is complete.

Thank Rhodgy

Visited this zoo today and certainly wont be going back, its left me with a rather sad afterthought. Most of the animals looked so sad, the lion enclosure was full of rubble, the snow leopard looked like he had an eye infection and one of the tigers looked very thin. The staff barely looked at u and didnt smile. It absolutely stank in certain areas and seemed understaffed. Place is a mess.

We visited the park for our son's 8th birthday we had a fantastic time our 17yr daughter also came and she had just as good a time as her younger brother. The park is well set out and all the animal enclosures are well maintained and of a very good size all the animals looked very healthy and well looked after. We have visited other places like this but this one is by far the best. There seems as though this park is run for the love and care of animals at the park and out in the wild rather than to make a lot of money as this seems to be the case at other attractions. Another bonus was the weekend we visited was Father's Day and all dads enter free of charge, but even if we had paid for us all to enter it would have been worth every penny. I would highly recommend a visit.

I have been to many animal parks yet this one tops the lot!!!
to be able to interact with animals you wouldnt normally be able to is amazing. the animal feeding is throughout the day. My fave is the lemur feeding they all line up on the fence and the keepers hand you grapes and bananas. they now charge £1 if you want to feed them but its worthwhile and the money goes to the zoo.

there are a few animals that roam round the park (which is different to anything we have experienced.) lemurs, emus, peacocks and ducks.

You really have to go to experience this park. we dont have children and we love it.

Make sure to take a camera!!!

Every time we go the Lakes we go to the South Lakes Zoo. The experience is great, most of the animals are up close and personal which makes it even more special. This is definitely a must see.
