“Best Place to visit visit ever”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 12, 2012

I first went to South lakes Animal park quite a few years ago and this now holds a very special place in my heart. I live over 4 hours drive away but have taken both of my Children and will be a visiting again and again. The first time i visited I thought is was amazing, seeing the Giraffes galloping in there huge grassed area made it for me. It just gets better with every visit. The Animals are mixed if they can be not segragagted like most other animal parks or Zoos. The space the animals have it so good. How many places can you feed Giraffes or Penguins daily amongst other animals. Anyone that has been a keeper for the day would also say what a great experience this is. The amount of work they do for conservation is just unbelievable. All the money goes to the cause not being spent on cuddly toys so every penny is used.
The cafe is very spacious and overlooks the giraffes enclosure. Rain or shine i love this place.
I have read the appaling review by Olivia N and am shocked.
Don't take my word for it visit and make your own mind up Im sure you will not be dissapointed.
Have a great trip.

“Excellent day out”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 12, 2012 via mobile

Went here for the second time last weekend. What can I say the experience is great walking around with animals running about. The platform for the giraffes is great have never seen anything like it. The value for money is great too. Got a little bit of attitude off an ostrich but it added to the fun. It is a 200 mile round trip for me but well worth it

“wonderful park”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 12, 2012

I cannot disagree more with the review from Olivia N. The park is wonderful, a full day out. The highlights for me are the feeding of the tigers and being able to feed the giraffes and reindeer. It was a joy to see the young tiger cub too. The work this park does towards the conservation of the sumatran tigers is amazing and i wouldnt hesitate in recommending this park to visitors at any time.

“Best Wildlife Park in the UK!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 12, 2012

I love this park, it's certainly not the zoo you expect it's so much more! The animals always appear content and well cared for. The staff are pleasant and enthusiatic about their animals - the tiger talk and feed alone is worth repeated trips! Having many animals free roaming and being able to interact with them is brilliant! I don't normally like 'zoos' (the weaving elephants at Chester being an example of why) but this is not a 'zoo' its something far better and I heartily recommend it!

I live locally to this zoo luckily and my family and i get to visit often we all love it they have a brilliant range of aniimals and im sure once they expand we can look forward to many more. this zoo is very different to many others we have been to as you can interact with the animals and get far closer. granted if you like a zoo that you can put ur nose against the perspex enclosures to see all animals this isnt the zoo for you.here they have lemurs, emu, kangaroo and many many other animals out that you can walk right next to that will cross the path in front of you too its brilliant not to mention go into the penguin enclosure and stroke them, feed giraffes and many other experiences that you just cant get elsewhere. my 5 yr old has never been the biggest fan of animals but he loves going to this zoo and feeds the ducks stands in front of the lemurs enjoys the farmyard animals and even strokes the penguins (not quite brave enough to feed giraffes yet but he'll get there am sure.) well worth visiting this zoo from young to old its a lovely place they do good food at very reasonable rates (there are usually 5 of us) or you can eat your own picnics in their indoor or outdoor areas. i really cant rate this zoo highly enough.
