Stayed here for one night with my husband in a beatiful, large, clean and very comfortable room. The Hall itself is stunning. Breakfast excellent and would certainly stay again.

Hello there
We stayed @ Wynyard hall for our 1st wedding anniversary on the 19th sept and we would just like to thank all the staff for making our stay so memorable. We were made to feel very welcome and comfortable during our stay. We think this was due to the friendlyness and professionalism of the staff especially we would like to make a personal thanks to Patricia (receptionist) Glen & Callum.

We stayed in The Frances Anne Suite Which was very spacious beutifully presented very clean and comfortable. We had a lovely view over looking the lake and grounds of Wynyard.

Location is super, evening meal is excellent, afternoon tea below average hardly any filling in the sandwich couldnt tell what the filling was there was so little of it. Restaurant manager Glen is very helpful and does take on comments made in a positive manner. The Hotel room is stunning and the grounds are fabulous. However if you are staying overnight they have weddings on nearly every day. The night we stayed 11th September the disco from the wedding went on until the planned finish of 0130 hrs. It was probably a great time for them but if you were not a wedding guest then it meant you could not get any sleep until at least after 0200 hrs. I did ring the reception about 0030 and he said he would see what he could do but to be honest I knew when he said it was planned to go on till 0130hrs it wasnt going to change. Female called Patricia on reception at checking out unsympathetic and said she would investigate my complaint - no mention of the word very sorry !!
So if you are planning a stay here ask first what time the wedding disco will go on till. I will update this message when the receptionist inverstigation is complete.

Oh my gosh, we had our weddding here at the end of July. FAB FAB FAB. What can I say. The venue, the staff, the food and the Rooms. Excellent place and thank you to all the staff who helped to make our day so memorable.

We even had pictures with Sir John Hall, lovely man, he took us over the other side of the lake for some better photo opportunities.

The Hall has 16 rooms, we booked them all out, and we stayed inthe Duke of Wellington, the round room with the bathroom door "hidden" in the wall.

We will be going back to tapas on the terrace and anything else the place has to offer.

We attended a wedding here and stayed overnight. The hall and chapel are stunning and the grounds are well kept and perfect for children to play in. Food served at the wedding breakfast was of high quality although service was quite slow, it took a long time for everyone to get their meals. the room was spacious and had everything we needed and we couldn't hear the music from the wedding from our room as they are on the other side of the hall. This was great with having a little one. The walls between rooms are a little thin - we could hear next door which woke us up but this is really the only negative!! Breakfast had lots of choice and service was quick. A bit smaller portions than we would have liked for a long drive home but can't fault the quality.

Wynyard Hall was perfect for our wedding day. The service was amazing, and the hall itself was stunning. A little expensive, but well worth it for your wedding day.

Our wedding photographs (taken by Visual Photography, see some examples here - http://www.stanseatonphotography.co.uk/wynyard-hall-photography/) are brilliant. With many exquisite rooms to choose from, we were photographed under chandeliers, and in huge doorways and beautifully decorated rooms.

Overall, I would highly recommend Wynyard for your wedding day. I'm looking forward to returning in the summer for our anniversary.

A lovely imposing building lovingly restired to retain original features. Sunday lunch was a disappointment. on the whole the food was well presented and clearly showed the skills of culinary excellence. That said the service was very much a let down. A young restaurant manager who looked the part but really needed training. 20 minutes in teh Restaurant and no menus presented, had to ask. Asked the same young man for apple sauce for the roast pork, eventually managed to make eye contact with another member of staff who promptly brought the sauce form a waiters station, so not even warm. Crumbing down was a joke, suggest best not to bother at all. Other diners had to move their own chairs and table setting to accommodate their party. Oh for Daffyd who saved the day when serving the desserts - a cheerful and well trained waiter at last. Coffee in the lounge was a pleasant experience though suggest asking if cream, hot or cold milk is preferred as by the time the cream arrived the coffee was only luke warm. after checking the bill at home I discovered we had not been charge for the wine so no doubt control methods are not in place and the drink GP is down. Suggest staff training needs to be undertaken and is it too much to make a courtesy check with diners during at least their main course to check on satisfaction etc as is the norm in all good restaurants. A halo clealry tarished and urgent improvements necessary,. I may return
