This is a very elegant, European style of restaurant. Although we had not booked we were treated warmly on arrival and throughout the evening. Wonderful food and wine but the service really makes this restaurant.

We went to breakfast twice as their breakfast menu and coffee were excellent and they had some different choices that made you want to return to try them. The corn and herbed fritters were delicious and my husband really enjoyed the yoghurt mousse with poached rhubarb, lovely grain bread as well. Large serves, I actually couldn't eat the poached egg that also came with the corn fritters. Lots of lively young staff. l

Had dinner with the family here on a Saturday night. The restaurant was crowded and busy however the service was slow. Tables that came after us got menus and orders taken before us. The food was average, the crackle on my pork belly was burnt. The meat was over cooked and dry The slaw dressing over powered the whole dish. Could not taste the fennel. Other dishes were not up to par as well, To pay $42 for a fillet steak and not get it cooked properly is disappointing
However when I was asked about my meal and gave my opinion it was deducted from our bill.
Most of us on the table had the chocolate fondue on the specials board for desert. It was disappointing as well. The chocolate was bitter and there was a ordinary selection of items to dip.
The most puzzling item were the clumps of carmelized popcorn. Couldn't understand why you would serve this and then to not pop the corn properly.
I have been to this restaurant before and had good food and service however tonight was nothing special.

A charming place for a brunch or coffee. Fine atmosphere and nice outdoor seatings.
This place is very popular indeed, filled up during lunch time. Service was excellent, with lots of cute waitresses.. and I was surprised to be asked for a newspaper as well.
Also happy with my club sandwich, somewhat expensive (21$), but can´t complain.

The prices here are a bit expensive for budget travelers, but anyway it´s worth the visit if your visiting Brighton!
