We stayed for one night as a night away in a standard room. The room wasn't horrible, it was clean, the sheets and bed spread seemed fresh but there was a lot missing. There was nothing in the mini bar, things could be ordered from reception but where’s the fun in that? The furniture was recent but combined with the horrible curtains and old looking carpet it left a pretty retro feel.
The bathroom didn’t look like it had been renovated in a long time. It was very large, tiled all the way up the wall to about 1.5meters and was probably a bit too big. Especially considering the shower was over the bath :S
The restaurant was very empty so we ate up the road at the middle Brighton baths which was delicious. Overall the hotel had a good feel though it was very worn and in need of refurbishment. It wasn’t anything amazing but there were no cockroaches, dirty sheets or filthy basins which is a plus.

I quite like this hotel. The staff respond quickly to requests and are generally really helpful. The location across from the beach is great for a walk or a swim after work and the shops are a very easy walk up the road. Rooms are a bit of a lottery. I've had some good and some not quite so good. The only issue with sleep quality is the noise from other rooms. I had a room with a connecting door that had a gap underneath that a cat could squeezed through (I'm kidding; but it was large). Thankfully no cat made the journey, but a lot of talk from next door did.

Overall it's a nice place to stay. The food in the restaurant is usually good, too. Hnady for work if you get in late. If you have the time, there's plenty of local dining options.

Booked my Cousins from Washington DC at the Brighton Savoy for a week. They were so pleased with both the serivce and the deluxe room which had the most beautiful ocean views. Room was well furnished and perfect size with lots of cupboards.
I joined my relatives in the hotel resstaurant for a number of meals and found the food very tasty and of good value.
My relatives could not stop raving about Bernie the front office manager who made them feel incredibly welcome and was a derth of knowledge about local tourist information.
I highly recommend this hotel.

tried to book a room for 30th anniversary, had my wedding reception here and thought it would be nice. staff not impolite but very stead fast ion price no better then internet site's such as what if and would not throw in any extras. Booking was for a Monday night in middle of winter. Come on it's not peak time and I did point out that we were probably going to have dinner in the hotel restaurant also that I was considering and have since booked Arthur's seat Hotel. Didn't want to know us. I think it is a reflection on their attitude. If a 30th anniversary doesn't get anywhere don't try to bother with a first and so on.

Stayed at the Brighton Savoy while visiting family in the area and we were pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. The hotel was comfortable and inviting and all the staff were helpful and accomodating with giving us suggestions of things to do and see locally, Church St shopping strip 5 minutes down the street was an absolute surprise in the quality and diversity of cafes and boutiques and being across the road from the beach was a bonus in recovering from too much family, overall a great stay.
