I was there with a group of friends and their children. The weather was glorious. We had a lovely picnic and a nice long walk along the beach. The children enjoyed playing in the shallow waters.

Been going there for years, as a child, with my own kids, and now with my grandson...it's a great place to take little kids as water is shallow, and there are always lots of families there on a good day, even during the week. Many a bride and groom can be seen there having photos taken on the weekends! The iconic bathing boxes are a lovely backdrop with great views of the city. If you are not a Bayside resident with a carparking permit, you do have to pay for parking in the carpark area though, but there is street parking available without cost. A place to build memories!

The sheds get painted over often, so they always look different and look great as a backdrop in photos. The sand isn't so soft here, and its a popular spot for dog walking. If you're looking for somewhere peaceful and secluded to relax on the beach, this is probably not the ideal place.

The sand areas were small, lots of jet ski's buzzing around sounded more like being at a race track than at the beach, fair amount of rubbish in the water. Lots of other better beaches around. Wont be going back.
