Owner description: The Grande Chartreuse, founded by St Bruno in 1084, is a major destination in the Alps. Located in an annexe of the Monastery, the Museum is an insight into their Great Silence and the way of life of these monks. Come and experiment their faith, and try to unravel the mystery of their 900 year history, thanks to this truly monastic setting complete with historical illustrations, artefacts and models of Carthusian monasteries.
