“Menu needs update”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

The food here is very old style and really needs an update. Many of the dishes have very heavy high fat sauces and there are few alternatives if you prefer a lighter style. Service is good and prices are high. Ok destination if you like a heavier meal.

“Old fashioned food”
Reviewed February 6, 2013

Ordered the "famous" garlic praws. Asked if they clean them, was answered yes. They came out with the dark poop vein still in. YUK! Not cleaned! The food it self is a bit outdated, heavy foods with thick sauces. Not recomended. Needs a new menu

“Family dinner for four...went well”
Reviewed February 2, 2013

Food and service was decent, but not inspired enough to return. Venue decor looked a bit tired and it seemed they were going for the England countryside Inn look, but fell short.

“Overpriced food from the Cauldron”
Reviewed February 2, 2013

Last night we visited the witches cauldron. We are locals from Subiaco new to the area.
It was just OK. There was nothing really wrong with it, but nothing really right either. Here are our thoughts:

- Decor is tired circa mid 80's. Needs a makeover to match the prices of the food.
-Service was chaotic. We were 'overserved' by 5 different people. We prefer being served by one experienced waiter.
-The food was tasty apart from the side order of vegetables with a very lackluster presentation that I would expect from a regular weeknight meal at home.
-we had the garlic prawns they are famous for, and these were excellent.
-wine list was comprehensive.
- whilst the table cloth and napkins were linen, there was the butchers paper on the table.
- the price of the food did not match the experience

“Best garlic prawns in the West”
Reviewed January 11, 2013 via mobile

We have dined several times at the Witch's Cauldron and each time we have experienced wonderful discreet service, a romantic ambience, and high quality fresh food. We always order the sizzling Garlic Prawns as entree as they are simply divine. The chefs know how to cook steak to a perfect medium rare which is not always the case at other restaurants we've dined at. Overall we're happy with our dining experience at Witch's, it's expensive but you get what you pay for.
