“Restricted viewing was an understatement!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 25, 2013

Went to patersons stadium for round 1 of the AFL season between Fremantle and Eagles. Got tickets online and paid $45 per person. It did say it was"restricted viewing". Upon getting to my seat I was amazed to find that the "restricted viewing" was a gross understatement it should have said "NO VIEW". I was seated directly behind a concrete pillar approx 400mm square. Could not see any of the field. It is appalling that they even sell that space as a so called seat, and charge $45 for the inconvenience. They should be ashamed of themselves!! Stay away from block 312, row PP seat 11.

“The sooner its replaced the better.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 5, 2013

Its cramped, uncomfortable with very poor patrons facilities. Well and truley past its use by date. Unfortunatly, Its become a political football as to what is the best alternative solution and in the mean time the public suffer.

“Overpriced and poor”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 4, 2012

This stadium is archaic in design and function. Food and drink is way overpriced with long queues at all times - queues that then prevent \normal movement. Heaven help if it had to be evacuated as it takes a long time to exit under normal circumstances.

“Small but has everything you need”

Its a small stadium, slightly outdated, but has everything you need. Good location, short walk to the train station.

“Pretty good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 15, 2012

I generally find the rectangular game doesn’t fit well into oval stadiums (Etihad Stadium in Melbourne is terrible). It could be where I was seated, but Patersons Stadium was actually pretty good. Sure, you are miles away from the action, but the atmosphere was good. I would suggest that for games like this, the best vantage points are from either end, or up in the higher stands. The usual prime seats of ground level in the centre of the pitch are pretty ordinary on oval grounds.
The Stadium is pretty easy to get to (I walked back to the centre of town in around ½ an hour) and the gate and zone markings were good. The staff were helpful and efficient. Facilities at the ground were good. Subiaco Stadium, as it is also known, is a very good stadium and an event here is recommended.
