I've lived in Subiaco and often passed this restaurant advertising its tagine meals but had my first meal there last night. Really fresh ingredients and tasty main courses with excellent staff service. A modern interior with only about 20 tables. We had the chicken pie and pumpkin sauce and the lamb tagine. A shared desert taster with coffees bookended the night after a shared entree. Wine is quite expensive at $30-35 for half bottles. This is a classy restaurant with a well cooked and interesting menu- highly recommended, especially for a romantic meal.

I've eaten here several times now and never had a bad experience or bad dish. The service is expert, friendly, the ambience lovely, and I've never had such fantastic food in my life! The ingredients that look 'interesting' together on the menu transfer into mouthfuls of the most amazing flavourful food. Save room for dessert as it would a horrible crime to leave and not try the doughnuts!

It had been a few years since we first visited. Can't believe we waited so long. The tangines are divine and the Meeka Pav is to die for. we will be back much sooner for this wonderful restaurant with North African charm.

We started off with the Meeka Dips with bread and it was just so nice. The bread was outstanding and went so well with the dips. The spinach dip had so much flavour and the sweet potato dip was so smooth and went very well with their breads - two different types.
We followed this up with a Beef Cheek Tagine and a Lamb Tagine. They were so tasty. We were so full by then we didn't have room for dessert.
The wine list is interesting and there is a good selection of wine by the glass.
Can recommend.

Went here without a booking-was not too much trouble.
We had the bread with dips, pumpkin kibbeh and beef cheeks tagine. All were shared between us. All 3 dishes were cooked really well- good flavours. The spinach dip had the best flavour of all.

The service was great- not too pushy, really knew their stuff.

For dessert we had espresso with bites. The "bites " was a macaroon, a Turkish delight doughnut and a piece of honeycomb. I probably would have preferred biscotti instead of the honeycomb as it was burnt and we didn't finish it but would have been a bit of a savoury balance.
