After a hard week walking and travelling around Jordan this is an excellent place to relax for a couple of days. The complex is rather complicated and the signage is not very clear. The hotel is on so many levels you can easily get lost! The "Oblisque Restaurant" is a little bit like a cafe as far as floor and furnishings are concerned. However the food served there was excellent. Even champagne at breakfast on the house!!! Our room was enormous with a well appointed bathroom and complimentary mini bar.

Room Tip: Room overlooking the dead sea with a balcony

-the facility is great, the staff were very helpful and very nice.
-In my opinion the prices were not up to the service you get. Drinks were poorly prepared, food was not great.
-I made a reservation for a King bed and they changed it to two twins after asking if my travel partner was my wife.
-The maid wanted to do the turndown service in the middle of a nap, after telling her to return later, we never got our towel changed again.
- and last but not least, they had a very nice box of sweets but one of the sweets had a nasty piece of rock that almost broke my teeth.

Loved it and surpassed our expectations. A very large property with a ton of pools (maybe 9?) including a salt water pool, infinity pool and a pool dedicated to children-only (which most parents respected- only a few children each day were seen swimming in the adults-only infinity pool). The beach area is very clean and comfortable with lounge chairs and very attentive staff. The staff offers to apply eucalyptus-infused mud from the dead sea and they will massage it into you. After 15 minutes you wash it off in the amazing dead sea. The staff also provides you with free water bottles, as many as you want. We also had an amazing private dinner on the beach at sunset with our own personalized staff. The food was outstanding and the portions were the largest we have ever seen. They were also very accommodating to my dietary preferences, cooking an all-vegetarian menu for me and coming up with creative recipes. The pool bar also had excellent food- some of the best food we have had in the middle east which was surprising since it's a pool bar! The cold Mezze plate was outstanding that we had to get it each day. The falafel was as well. Overall the service was excellent- not sure what the ratio was in terms of staff to guests but there was an awful large number of staff members working to ensure you had a pleasant stay. Rooms were very spacious, clean and with luxury amenities. the only two areas of improvement i would have for this kempinski hotel was that the hair conditioner was like water- it was not typical hair conditioner, so make sure to bring your own. Also, the hallways to the rooms were a little bit dark and sterile. There were no paintings or any adornments on the walls. It was very clean, but reminded me of a hospital. Overall, the stay was absolutely amazing and if we find ourselves back in either Jordan or Israel we will definitely stay there again.

Having had stayed at Kempinski Hotels before, I come here with very high expectations and was not dissapointed. This is a world class resort in evrey respect. With 8 restaurants, 9 swimming pools, an Anatara spa that flows over 3 floors, the Dea Sea itself...and you are spoilt for choice in everything you do. Outstanding service from the gate to the beach with multinational staff from all parts of the globe. All the F&B offerings were of very high standards with the biggest breakfast buffet i have seen in any hotel anywhere in the world. everything i ate i really enjoyed. A large gift shop with reasonable prices is on site and although the hotel and food and drinks arnt cheap, you do get what you pay for and so much more. I had a great villa with a fantastic view so its worth the bit extra though i was lucky enough to get an upgrade. many thanks. i hope to be back.

This truly was one of the most memorable hotels to which I have ever been. It was immaculate, the staff was attentive, the spa service and amenities were incredible, and the pools were top notch. The hotel is located in a safe area, which is relatively close to Amman. The Dead Sea itself is worth the trip and compared to the Israeli side, the Jordanian's have really done a much better job making the dead sea a luxury vacation.

We travelled down (literally!) from Amman and spent the best part of 2 days at the Kempinski with an overnight stay. Very impressed by the service and attention from every single member of staff - they all seemed to want to go out of their way to help. The weather was kind and the children spent most of the time in the (small) heated children's pool. Shame they couldn't use the circular pool which was even warmer but only for age 14+. Check-in was quick and easy, buffet dinner and breakfast really good, rooms spacious and well-equipped. Complimentary water both at the pool and dinner was welcome, also complimentary drink by the pool and refreshing face-cloths. Access to the Dead Sea was good.

Drawbacks: the hotel was not buggy or wheelchair-friendly. There were golf buggies to take you around but that necessitated getting the baby out and collapsing the buggy. The heated kiddies' pool was quite small and had no slides or fountains; fortunately we had brought toys to play with in the water and I noticed the hotel provided some on request.

Our stay worked out at about £100 per person dinner bed and breakfast, based on 2 sharing, which was very good value. I'm sure it gets more expensive later in the year.

The last hotel on the strip with a nice view over the Dead Sea. On arrival, we booked a twin room and thanks to the manager we got an upgrade to a Junior Suite with a King Size, excellent start to our holiday. Staff is really friendly from at the gate straight through to the porters, thanks that brightens up your day after a long drive.

Dinner each night we went down to the Italian restaurant in the complex. Ideal setting, look out over the pool and enjoy dinner. Can recommend the Tortellini dish and the Tiramisu for desert. The Jordanian red wine they serve by the glas is certainly recommended? Second night we did it again but after we didn't have any luck at Kish bar for sushi as the chef for the evening was too busy at Codes. Walked over to Codes for Thai and they mentioned a 30 min wait for main meal, in this instance I would expected better precaution by the hotel when they do have big conference groups arriving during the quiet time of the season and neglect the tourist traveller.

Breakfast had a broad spread, they could do better with the quality of coffee, a plunger with coffee would've been a nice add-on.

The food at the pool bar is great, panoramic view over the heated pool to the sea. Plenty of sunbeds await and complimentary water helps with the hydration. Quickly at your service with a towel and a chair.

Went for a drift in the Sea and not too far down to walk from the chairs, by the look of it need to reserve as when we were down on the beach it was deserted and were told we need to move our stuff to another chair with-out towels. Menitioned towels on the way but had a quick shower as we got out and wind dried ourselves..... They could do better.

But overall it was a good experience, this is probably due to the timing of the year / season for the tourist industry.
