Let's start with the positive points:
Clean hotel, clean rooms, clean swimming pools.
Good location directly on the Dead Sea
Golf carts available all the time
Good food with limited number of restaurants
Negative points:
Service below zero they lied to us about the rooms after giving us different rooms telling us to stay in the main building cause it is better for people with kids (forget to tell us that is is really far from the swimming pool and all other activities) if u leave the room you'll think 100 times before thinking of going back. Forgot to tell us that they gave our rooms to other people that's why they gave us the main building rooms. The other rooms where much more expensive than the ones in the main building but they never paid us the difference claiming they're the same (check websites)
- if u order food it will come after 2 hours and it won't be what u ordered.
- limited menu limited number of restaurants
- no availability in the spa. You'll never find an appointment.
- you have to bribe every single waiter to get a good service. They'll tell u restaurant is full (breakfast) but not full anymore if u shake your pockets.
- lounge chairs r limited. We went 10 mn to the sea and came back to find our things on the floor and our chairs taken
Conclusion it is an expensive resort but you won't get anything in return for the money you paid the only good point is the cleanliness which matters the most to me.
Not worth it!
We were 2 families we had fun spending time together!!
'Dead Sea' amazing I loved it
A must see if you can find a better place to stay with less money to pay it would be better.

After staying with Moevenpick in different locations, the Kempinski Hotel in the Dead Sea was heaven for us. It was a beautiful hotel, lovely sea view, very serene and the rooms were modern and extremely comfortable. There was turn down service!! The house- keeping cleaned our shoes with no fuss!( Moevernpick 'could not and did not' offer the shoe cleaning service despite we had been in the desert!!)The varieties of amenities with different types of swimming pool and the great location to the Dead Sea made it even more attractive. Service was EXCELLENT. The staff from front desk, concierge, house keeping to security guards were helpful , efficient and polite. All conversant in English. I also had the best margarita in Jordan. Sipping margarita with live music after a dip in the Dead Sea really made my day. Having dinner on the roof at their Thai restaurant made my day complete. Would DEFINITELY recommend this hotel and the management did a great job by training up the staff well.

We had a horrible and terrifying experience at Kempinski Dead Sea. We stayed there in March 2013. The resort is magnificent but the service is horrible.
1. At check in, the security opened our bags and started digging in our stuff, while we were at the reception checking in. When we caught them off guard they didn't even apologize.
2. We were given a resort Ishtar room at ground floor level. the "life guard" was roaming around us in the evening, and knocked on our door and tried to open it, when he failed, he went to the balcony and started eve dropping on us. when we opened the curtain to ask him what is he doing at our balcony, he said he is just arranging our seats and offered us "Massage oil and massage". Horrified and scared, we called reception immediately and asked to be moved immediately. the duty manager acted quickly and called us back and asked us to call him again and try to stroll him till the manager is here. Of course, he was still there on our balcony and heard our conversation with the manager and started begging us not to tell the management as he will be fired. The manager came and he moved us to a third floor room and informed us that they will have a serious talk with him and probably fire him. However, we didn’t receive any proper apology, from the management, and they all acted as there is nothing wrong. not even a free meal or anything.
3. the Ashur restaurant, was supposed to be open till 17.30 but the waiter informed us that they are taking a break and can't serve us. After trying to convince him to serve us salad and pizza at least, he went to see the chef, who was IN the restaurant but again he said, no, they are taking a break and since it's not a weekend it's not worth working in this hour!
4. Service in the breakfast buffet restaurant is also bad. We had to wait for 15 minutes for someone to offer us coffee and give us utensils. all employees seemed careless.
5. Lighting in the rooms is very dim, you can't read a book or have a clear lighting.

We are so disappointed in the level of unprofessionalism and unfriendly service. It is simply ruining it for an esteemed name like Kempinski

This is without a doubt the finest, most stunning hotel I've ever stayed in. Everything was perfect, from the 9 swimming pools to the dead-sea mud on the beach, to the enormous verandas in every room overlooking the sunset and Jerusalem (in the distance).

The restaurants are excellent, there is a car-hire place in the hotel so you can easily make the drive to Wadi Rum, Petra, Jerash or Amman, and the staff are all very courteous.

We went during Ramadan which meant that we had the whole place to ourselves (although a couple of the restaurants were closed).

Can't recommend it more.

Been there with my wife for one night only and i never thought the level of service would be as exquisite and personal as this hotel .. architecturally gorgeous with many old beautiful olive tress which adds to the magic of the place , rooms are specials with fine finishing, bathrooms would sweep you out of your feet (i think we all have a thing for bathrooms) from the minute you walk in everyone welcomes you, they even keep bringing you complimentary drinking water next to the swimming pools, not much happening at the night which was fine by us considering we were coming to chill and relax .. SPA prices were exaggerated or may be not (im used to the unmatched Thailand and Bali spas).
Good thing that i'm Jordaian and i will always have the chance to go there ...

This is As good as it gets at the Dead Sea.
Very modern hotel, very comfortable, very safe with alot of security.
The area is all protected by secret poliice everywhere, and tons of military and police.
the Restaurants are quite good.
Downside, this is so artificial compared to most of the region, its so 'rich' but its poor everywhere outside this protected 'Hotel city. And if I would choose either the Jordanian or Isreali side of the Dead Sea, i must admit that i feel truly safer in Isreal side.
Staff tries to be friendly but it seems so 'bought and paid for'. not Genuine at all. also very expensive location.
So I dont plan to go back, ever to Kempinski at the Dead Sea.
