Spent the weekend here with friends and their family. This resort is not worth the "4 star rating" they claim. I wanted to look past its misgivings and just have a great time but I just can't help with all the things that are wrong in this hotel. Food is not great, the room needs upgrading, beddings are dirty like they don't change it (hairs of all sorts once you lift the covers) bathroom has molds on the tub trimings hence not recommended to have a soak in the bathtub. Room amenities are of substandard, not even a tissue around, mini fridge not clean, no bathrobe no slippers (I mean for a 4 star hotel, this should be a standard) Local staff are not helpful at all (except for the expatriate staff that they have which are wonderful and great). We had an emergency w/ one of my friend's mother and they don't even have a medical staff (nurse/doctor) and couldn't point or help us with our emergency and ignored us completely. And lastly if you forget something in this hotel, rest assure you'll not be able to get it back! Not worth the stay and the price!

Dear Metp2016

Thankyou for taking the time to express your concerns and share some thoughts.

The hotel is the first to be built at the Dead Sea so agreed to an older hotel comment. Though I will disagree on the following:

We take all urgent and emergency matters seriously and the Dead Sea Resort and Spa is the only hotel at the Dead Sea with a certified medical clinic on premises, possibly the doctor was not present at the time of the incident though our management team is ready and able to assist 24/7.

We do invite you back to the Dead Sea Resort and Spa and please contact me directly if you decide to visit us again in the near future.

Thank you.

The Resort was nice and comfortable with an amazing view of the sea. A short walk from the lobby brought you right onto the open sea area! Food was a little disappointing. Choice was limited and took a while but didn’t taste too bad! Wish it was a warmer day but despite the drizzle on and off, I’m happy I got see it!

Greetings ShipNSugar

Thank you for your note and your kind comments regarding the Dead Sea Spa Resort. We are proud of our property, big but not too overwhelming thus accessible and easy to enjoy your stay.
Times have changed with our food selection, we have gone from the international buffet serving an array of both Arabic and International cuisine to a set menu served at the poolside.
We hope to see you back again soon to enjoy the usually mild temperate weather and our beautiful terrain.

I defiantly enjoyed my stay as the resort is so relaxing with clean spacious rooms and a great landscape, with a friendly and helpful staff as usual.

This time the breakfast was seated not a buffet as usual, because of corona virus precautions, but even though, it was tasty!

Here I have to mention than corona virus precautions are followed restrictedly at the resort, first of all you have to enter through the sterilization machine with your luggage and to wear your mask and gloves before entering the reception area, all the staff are wearing their masks and gloves regularly and you will find a hand sanitizer and social distancing signs at every single corner there.

Stayed at the 4-star Dead Sea Spa Resort end of February. With a good private beach and cozy rooms, this is the best place to spend your time relaxing by the Dead Sea.

* The beach is located in a beautiful cove. It is clean and not crowded. I enjoyed putting mud all over my body before floating on the mineral-rich waters of the Dead Sea. I had a serene time watching the beautiful sunset over the sea. As this is a pebble beach, better wear aqua shoes for feet protection.

* There is a life guard on duty who even went above and beyond by taking photos for the guests.

* The rooms are huge and plush... well appointed, clean and with amenities. The bathroom is also big. The balcony is lovely. The airconditioning/heating and wi-fi inside the room also work well.

* The food is great! The breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets are all extensive with full array of local and international cuisines. The restaurant staff are wonderfully attentive.

* The Front Desk staff are very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Manager granted my request for late check-out and arranged my transportation to the King Hussein border.

* The property has stringent security screening at the entrance which is good.

* There is an ongoing improvement at the beach area therefore it can get noisy at times. Construction equipment near the beach do not give a pleasant sight.

* Some of the beach towels look worn out.

The beauty of the Dead Sea is mesmerizing and floating on it is the ultimate experience of all. Dead Sea Spa Resort is a perfect place to experience it.

Thank you for a fantastic stay. I hope to stay longer next time.

Dear JP Vann2018

Thank you for your kind and lengthy review, we do appreciate having you at the Dead Sea Spa Resort. We do apologize that we are improving the beach and facilities as we are preparing for our busy season in March/April and February is historically a lower occupancy time. Sharing the good food, great service and wonderful experience at our Resort is greatly appreciate. We are aware of the beach towels and this has been address. We hope you have you back at the Lowest Point on Earth Jordan in the near future.
