This was one of the best hotels we saw in Jordan: since the check in until the end of our staying everyone made their best to accomodate every need.
We arrived at the Holiday Inn one day before planned. Notwithstanding this, we were given the same discounted rate of our booking through internet.
At dinner, we saw the buffet had very little choice for vegetarians, so we asked if we could have something made for us. Well, what happened was that the chef came to meet us, and prepeared the best meal we had in Jordan: six or seven starters, a main course and the dessert, all fresh made. Thanks mr Mohammad Alturman!
As for the hotel itself, the rooms are spacious and confortable, you have free mini bar with unalcoholic drinks and a snack. There are many swimming pools, one of them heated and open until 11 pm (this was a nice touch in January, as the weather was a bit cool). There is also a nice fitness area with a small gym, sauna and steam bath. As for the beach, it was well maintained and, well, the Dead sea is an incredible experience. Using the mud was also rather funny.
So, well, this is a highly recommended place to stay!

I went there on the 23rd December for a 1 day escape , I felt the great improvement in the service and the front desk Manager was really friendly , I like this hotel a lot and now with the improved service I’m ready to come again and again many times ,, the heated pool was really nice specially when the weather temperature won’t allow you to enjoy swimming.

Only the desserts were below average

Room Tip: rooms on the 3rd floor have a pool and sea view ,,

I can't compare to the other premier resorts on the Sea, but this one felt very overpriced. The facilities are amazing, and the place is very tidy and clean, but it lacked a lot of the feel of a 5 star hotel. The restaurants were amazingly overpriced at 15-30 JD minimum. Considering how strict they are about scanning your bags for outside food and drink I ended up with a very resentful feeling towards the place. If you don't mind factoring in 100 dollars or more every day for food, the place can be quite nice.

I was in Jordan on a family trip and we chose the Holiday Inn for price reasons
Everything went wrong ....
The airport pickup that I booked never came ... I had to call many times (of course while roaming) the hotel the line dropped nobody called back etc etc
Finally I took an expensive cab - careful when you go from Amman airport to the dead sea resorts - but obviously I had no choice
When we arrived, they upgraded us in 1 sea room view, which was nice, but the kids got a room that was dirty and full of insects. Near our room, there was a bed mattress that was left away for a couple of days probably (nice scenery !!!)
Food was average, the breakfast was supposed to be nice, but there was a nice terrace, that was not opened for the breakfast we asked the waiters to open it but they refused to do it .... in the end we called the managers (at this point the management started to know about us ...) and they got the area cleaned and tidy ... and guess what? many people started to invade the place because it was nice and people enjoyed the terrace .... so just because the waiters were lazy, this place was not opened for customers ....
The shisha place was nice, but frankly, the stay was very disappointing
I think it was because the hotel was very busy, but .... hotels should be happy when they are crowded, here it ended up in a total mess, and you had to escalate everything to the management to get what you deserved .....
I had stayed before in the Movenpick.... and there is a huge difference ....
So if you plan to stay in this Holiday Inn, just be careful ;)

Room Tip: make sure you book an airport pickup from the hotel before you arrive in Amman airport, as it can be really overpriced some rooms have a sea view so make sure you ask for it before

We stayed Dec. 4 to Dec. 7, 2012. An excellent hotel with first class amenities was virtually deserted with occupancy of only about 30%. Staff was magnificant, hotel was first rate, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A dip in the Dead Sea and a mud bath with mineral laden mud made our stay memorable. We are an American couple age 68 years and travel extensively. We are pleased to recommend this exceptional location.
