i live in Jordan & when i want to take a break i go to holiday inn dead sea, it's a great hotel with fantastic swimming pools, delicious food & the most i like is the entertainment at night for the kids & adults, the rooms are very nice, clean & in a good size.

Very nice escape for the family , reasonable price , but expect bad services during weekends ,, you have to wait at least 20 minutes for breakfast , and don’t even think of asking for Baby cot ,,, if all the cots are not available (even if you asked for that when you reserved the room and many times during your stay) the stuff will think out of the box and will get you the laundry carriage furnished as a baby cot ,, I just can’t believe that , see attached pictures .

We stayed here two nights at the end of our trip. There are several pools - can't remember how many - they looked lovely. The room was like any other Holiday Inn - it did the job. Staff were as expected; efficient. Only problem was that the safe box broke and we had to get maintenance to get our valuables out. There were complimentary drinks in the mini-bar. We spent a day on the hotel 'beach' and floated in the dead sea and covered ourselves in mud from the urns. The breakfast buffet had an unbelievable selection of options. The evening buffet likewise. However, the drinks were very expensive and the buffet was on the pricier side. The second evening we went to a restaurant called Vis-a-Vis which is just along the road - it has a view across the Dead Sea fairly priced local and international fare; the waiters are charming. It takes about an hour to the airport by taxi.

Great hotel, especially the pools, which are at least 4, including one for children which is about 40-50 cms deep only, and covered with shades all over, so that the kids wont get burnt from the sun. not so crowded, esp during the week working days. free mini bar, with two cokes, two juices, two chocolate and strawberry with milk, and two bottles of water and one chips bag. also an electric kitten with Nescafe, tea, green tea, all for free. the food for kids up to 4 years is free of charge. the spa was amazing, the life guards around the pools are very nice, talkative, and could help u even with taking pictures. food was a little bit expensive, esp the boufet. 30 JD for lunch is expensive i would say! all the employees were nice. a nice gesture was the possibility to check out 3 hours later, and even if u check out, u could still use every thing in the hotel for free, except the message, and the restaurants (u could use them, but i wouldn't guess how u can pay). the best thing was the whirlpool in the open air, with warm sparkling water. everything was very good, and no single thing annoyed me on my stay! in general, for its reasonable price, its a great Hotel!
and one extra good thing, if u don't want to eat in the Hotel, chilli ways restaurant is 5-10 minutes walk from the hotel. they serve good burgers and spaghetti. if u dont want to be over spoiled, and don't want to spend a fortune, its a decent hotel and i would go there again.

Room Tip: if u have children, u can pick a room very close to the children pool!

We went on honeymoon to Jordan, sadly , our memory is blighted by our experience at Holiday Inn Dead Sea Resort, The shower didn't work, the knobs came off in our hands. They wanted to charge us 30 euro per bottle [corkage] that we had in our luggage, [gifts we had bought for friends ], added to which , we changed money there and were given a spurious 50 JOD note which almost landed us in trouble with the Jordanian police. We have written to them many times, trying to resolve this, and the good news is that they have offered us points towards our next stay, as if that is ever likely to happen.
The hotel looks good, but I would advise anyone who stays there to count their fingers if they ever shake hands with management.
