Very pleased with the hotel, the staff, the location, the design of our huge room with a comfortable sofa and a heavenly bed.

Room had excellent views towards the city, the sea and the bay but our balcony was small and lacked privacy.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor, views are better

After discovering that our GPS has a problem with accuracy in Granville, we asked for directions and found the hotel. Its located on a hill overlooking the beach and adjacent to a rehabilitation hospital. Parking was provided but don't bring large cars as the entrance is very narrow. The room had a sea view and while small it was a delight to be in the hotel for two nights. The staff recommended a great restaurant located in the old port. You could drive, but we walked and enjoyed the exercise both ways, particularly coming back, as the climb up to the hotel was quite strenuous. Breakfast at the hotel was good with a range of hot and cold foods. A good place to stay if visiting Mont-St-Michel.

Room Tip: Pay for a sea view, its worth it.

This stylish hotel is clean and comfortable, has helpful staff at the front desk, and very reasonable rates. If you want a sea view room with balcony, you need to ask for it and pay a significantly higher rate than the rate for a standard room. The view is quite wonderful, though. There are elevators to the rooms. Parking can be a challenge. The building's cramped underground garage is difficult and daunting to maneuver in with anything larger than a motor scooter, and the clerk helpfully told us it would be easier for us to park our car free of charge on the street a block away, but it was not easy to find a parking space when we stayed in late May. All in all, I would stay again and recommend to friends.

Room Tip: We paid 40 E more for a sea view with balcony, but it was worth it.

Another excellent Mercure hotel offering sea views. Well located up a steep incline but a convenient walk into the centre. Extremely comfortable beds, large rooms, clean with extensive buffet breakfast. Wifi free but slow. Underground hotel parking available for a fee but rather tight access. Limited height means Land Rover Discovery's are no go.

This was a very nice hotel, and for the location and quality, surprisingly affordable. We stayed here one day after trekking through Normandy beaches to do Mont St Michel the next day. (Very short drive.)

The hotel is very modern and immaculate. The rooms were spacious - very large for Europe. The views of the ocean are fantastic (we did not opt for an ocean view.). You have the option, at an extra price, for a full -hot breakfast (looked yummy) with a view of the ocean. If it wasn't so foggy and we weren't in a hurry, we woiuld have done that. Recommend that you do.

This hotel was a wonderful reprieve from the cramped, trashy hotel we had in Paris.

If you are in the area, stay here. It looked like a place, too, where one (even we Americans) could spend a few days.

Room Tip: If you don't want to pay extra for an ocean view room, you can still see the ocean at the full h...

The receptionists were absolutely lovely and everything was very clean.
The breakfast was well laid out and the view on the sea was great, location also good although I didn't go to Granville to visit, so didn't get a chance to see how well situated the hotel was to the town centre.
The only minus was that the room had a cold tobacco smell, but apart from that everything was fine.

Hotel has a beautiful location, walking distance away from restaurants (plenty) and you have a great view at breakfast ! We had rooms in the new wing and you could tell they were just re-done - very nice rooms and very quiet. The only minus is the complexity about the elevators, different elevtors, different intermediar levels, ...complex but manageable :0). Parking is hard to get in and out but at least there is one so...all good

Room Tip: go for the new ones
