Very popular restaurant but were able to get a table. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Two of us ordered the 3 course formulae and 2 of us only ordered one course. It was very strange that one of the one course meals were brought out with the formule starters and the other with the main courses!! Not a problem just a bit odd! Food was delicious so we were very happy with the experience overall. Would definitely recommend it and the Formules were great value.

What a little gem of a restaurant this lovely place was recommended to us twice once by the hotel where we stayed and from one of the locals who owned an antique shop we had a fabulous three course dinner for 18euro we had a lovely prawn and advocado starter followed by sirloin steak fritz etc then a lovely crème breulee wine was average price and the service was excellent the place was spotlessly clean I would certainly visit this restaurant again

We stayed in Granville only because it was on the way from Mont St. Michel to the D Day beaches. We were only there to spend the night and really did not expect much out of our stay there. Since our hotel didn't have a restaurant, the manager recommended L'Arrivee only a short walk away. WOW!!! The restaurant is in a small hotel, quaint and homey. You can tell the chef here takes pride in the procurement and preparation of the food. It showed in the freshness and quality of everything we were served. The menu is classic French. This was my third trip to France, and it can be hard to find old school classics like these. Everything was spot on. You can order off the regular menu or from several different prefix menus at very reasonable prices. We went for the Mer et Terre (Earth & Sea) menu. For 36.20 EU, I had an amuse bouche, a seafood tower (enough for 2 or 3 to share), a glass of calvados, Sole Meunière, seasonal salad and cheese selection, and for dessert (drum roll) the Apple symphony (Apple tart, apple sorbet, home made apple compote, glass of Calvados -2cl-). My son had foie gras, calvados, Lobster Thermidor, seasonal salad and cheese, and the Apple symphony. The service was the type you just don't get anymore, excellent. Other than Le Chateaubriand and the Jules Verne in Paris, the most memorable meal I have had in three trips to France. At a fraction of the cost. I would (will) go out of my way to eat at this restaurant again.
