Wow! What a great holiday! Wonderful surroundings, beautiful fauna, a very clean beach and very friendly people! Loads for the kids to do...ours is 15 and we rarely saw him for the fortnight he was so busy, at the pool, on the beach and at the disco making lots of new friends' (all nationalities!)!
We spent some time at the pool....great for meeting the fabulous animation team who were professional, vivacious, bright and always helpful, always smiling! (thanks especially to Anya, Kamil, Alliyah and Maylou!!!) Everyone was invited to join in poolside activities; water polo, aqua aerobics, pool games, dancing! We even had an evening pool party!
Other time was spent at the beach....great shade for those who like read a book, tan slowly and carefully and with lots of space...watersports were also available at extra cost, but great fun! As was the evening beach foam party...held every fortnight! We went on our arrival...son loved it! Had a great time at the beach afternoon foam party too...a good cool wash and we were sprayed down with lovely cold water! All ages!
The food was really good...we've done all inclusive in the past, but it was the best we've ever had...no dodgy tummies and my fussy teenager even managed to find what he liked! The service was fabulous and always delivered with a smile at the beach bar and the main restaurant! We ate at the two 'a la carte' restaurants each week and were not disappointed with either the food, cleanliness, or service. M. Ali even prepared a table decorated into a heart with pretty flowers at the seafood restaurant....a lovely surprise! Thank you!
Evening entertainment was fun and very visual....enjoyed the Fire Show with Mehmet....even when he ate glass!!! Lots of wide eyes and open mouths in the audience that night! The dancing was particularly good from the animation team. Their teacher and Choreogapher is a professional Russian Dancer and wow has she got them to move well....and in the heat too! Well done all of you!
So much to say...Easy to get on a Dolmus to go into Side from the hotel (but beware....extremely hot during the day and it's a bit of a trek down into the town when you get off the Dolmus. Maybe better to go in the evening...tho' it's still hot!). Lots of shops in Side and air conditioned, so respite from the heat is welcome. There are shops however near the hotel if it's all too much.
Only small drawback is the tiny animal park. Small cages and too hot (even though there are some trees/shrubs surrounding them) ...peacocks, chickens & hens in cages. Guess the idea is to try really hard to cater for everything, but not really my bag! Better the birds run free, not enough space!
Money Matters....be aware that the shops advertise their stock to sell in Euro's - lots of conversion going on. May be hard to follow if you are warm and tired from the daytime heat. Be careful you don't pay too much out by mistake! Use your wiz kids to help you with the maths!
The Hotel Spa was excellent value for money.........mmmmmmmm! Truly!
All this aside...we had a lovely holiday and were sad to leave!
