Gundogan is the coolest (climate-wise) spot on the Bodrum peninsula. Villa Rustica is a seafood restaurant/art gallery/boutique hotel. We stayed 3 nights in the hotel and had the privilege to taste all the spot offers. It is located in the middle of the Gundogan marina with a gorgeous view to the bay. You can enjoy it a lot if you decide to dine in the restaurant as it offers a great variety of Mediterranean seafood dishes and the traditional Turkish mezes. You will greatly appreciate the hospitality and service of the staff in the restaurant. Try the sea bass oven cooked in sea salt, it is delicious.
If you choose to stay in the hotel, however, you may want to think twice. You shouldn't use Villa Rustica as a hotel, as you will be paying ridiculous money to stay only to find out that there is a great water outage. We couldn't shower for 2 nights and when we could there was no hot water and the water was running really weak so it takes about half hour to shower. The price of this "luxury" is 175 Euros per night! And just an apology, sorry there is a problem with the water supply.
A beautiful as Gundogan is, there are plenty of great hotels you can enjoy your stay in with running water, as we later found out.
