i book in this hotel thru the good reviews of my co tripadvisor, what i discovered are the following good points:its seafront location, homey ambiance, hands on management by the owner, they can arrange for your virac tour and island hopping tour which they did for me.and relatively good food.it has a generator set in case of brown outs which occur quite regularly when we were there. The not-so good points are:its the farthest from the airport, they have no service car for airport transfer.altho tricycles abound in the area ,its hard to get one when you want to go to the town proper.the place has no restaurant or coffee shop. but you can order what you like from the kitchen staff.and they will cook it for you.right now the place is under renovation,it has 5 rooms as of now, they are not as spacious as i imagine and the CRs really small.it has no hot shower and the water not clear.Over all tho, our staywas enjoyable thru the hospitality of the owner, Karlo.

Great food and service. They have average sized rooms but are comfy, its budget friendly too. If your planning to explore Caramoan Islands, Puraran Island, monte karlo inn is the nicest and safest place to stay.

Everything is amazing here, the people, the food, the view and the place itself. A small inn but full of surprises when it comes to the food, Mr aguilar and Mrs Aguilar, the owners, (we call them Daddy karlo and Mommy Karlo) prepares the best dishes that you wont forget, they are very accomodating and very sweet. You have to try their homemade Achara and Coco Jam!

If you are planning to go island hopping in Caramoan or surf in Puraran, Monte Karlo is the best place to stay, only takes 30 minutes drive to Puraran Surf beach and an hour drive to Codon Port where you will take a boat to Caramoan Islands. Monte Karlo is also 10 minutes away from Marivina Falls, a very nice falls.

I dont need to check other inns in this town, because i already found the best, Monte Karlo Tourist Inn is the BEST Inn in Town.

Nice room "family" with veranda with ocean view. Not luxury but for $34/night it would be hard to beat.

Room service is all home cooking Pinoy flare and quite good. Without a doubt we will be back.

Staying at an Inn outside Virac proved to be good as we got a whiff of fresh seair everytime. Monte Karlo Inn at Brgy San Vicente felt like home as we were the only guest at that time. Breakfast at P75 can be ordered the night before and served in the living area on the second floor. The Family room can sleep 3 adults comfortably (P1300) and has its own balcony overlooking a beautiful view of the surrounding sea and mountains. Standard rooms cost P800 and smaller in size with space-challenged bathrooms. Jing at reception was very accommodating. No wi-fi connections though. Easy access to public transportation to town. Airport is about 15 minutes away and cost P100 by tricycle.

Very good, nice, and lovely people: Fe, Lindoy, and including Maricel, who helps Lindoy and Fe. Lovely crashing waves of the ocean and the ocean's nice smell, my family and I enjoyed our vacation and the warm welcome of Monte Karlo people.

Surfing in the Majestic Puraran was a great fun last month!! but before I went to Puraran Beach Resort to do surfing, I checked and stopped-over Monte Karlo Waterfront Inn and Resort for an overnight (which is in Virac, not sure about how many miles the distance was).. They have nice guest rooms with breathtaking views.. cool sea breeze at night and great morning ambiance..

There are plenty of amazing places you can see on this exotic island... most of the White Sand beaches here are really really nice... The good thing was getting here was pretty much inexpensive than going to Koh Samet or Samui..

I'll back to Majestics / Puraran Surf haven next year together with my board, laptop, and I guess I'll do the same itinerary.. BKK-MNL-Lagaspi to Virac and to Majestics...

For sure I'll stay again at Monte Karlo Inn, they've friendly staff and good food, Hoping that they will have online reservations and credit card payment system soon..

Good to Visit! Be back there next year 2009 or year-end... Thanks to Jamie for recommending me bout this adventure.. Cheers mate!
