We enjoyed the hanging bridges. Lots of lush scenery and nature sounds. Saw a howler monkey sitting on a suspension cable on one of the bridges, doing the same thing we were - looking out over the forest. We also visited the butterfly enclosure and hummingbird garden, which were surprisingly enjoyable. Like everything touristy in town, it's a little expensive but, expecting that, we found it worthwhile.

Overall, a day well spent at this park shrouded in clouds and mist.

Ziplining: quite thrilling, especially the last zip of 1km! There will be someone taking pictures for you/your party, you can choose to buy the pictures at the end of the tour. We had a family of 6 so it was worth it for us to spend the extra dollars as it was hard to take pictures while we were swinging about.

Hummingbird garden: at least 7 types of different hummingbirds, such beautiful creatures! The wings, how they bat!

Hike around the park: very nice hiking routes, parts of it can be tiring. A lot of flora and insects along the way, we didn't stop by long enough at anywhere to spot bigger wildlife.

Hanging bridges: part of the cool hike around the park. Great view of the cloud forest. The bridges themselves are not that aesthetically pleasing though...

Butterfly garden: see separate review, short and sweet tour to see cocoons, butterflies, and a pair of scarlet macaws.

Reptile Museum: I feel bad for all the snakes, frogs, lizards that are trapped here, but it's rare to encounter all of them all at once in the wild, not to mention that you probably don't want to encounter most of them anyhow...educational nonetheless and there were so many things to see where I felt the tour was a bit rushed.

Insect Museum: good information, but a bit eerie with all the dead butterflies, moths, beetles, and many more other insects. At least they were arranged nicely, with a few butterfly arrangements being pretty (but still quite morbid).

Restaurant: Neat restaurant with above average food. Not bad considering you are kind of in the wild. Service was good and they have delicious fresh juices!

We spent a whole day here. Walking the hanging bridges was a lot of fun. It was beautiful to see the rainforest scenery. WE did see monkeys which added to the exploration. We did not hire a guide for this activity and not sure that you really need one here. Another activity we did was of course the zip lines. I have done this before in the states but here at Selvatura, it really exceeded my expectations. The staff kept every one moving from one platform to another. I think there was a total of like 11. One was as long as a mile. It was so peaceful to fly over the canopy of the rainforest. I would highly recommend. We had 4 teenagers in our group who loved this activity!!!

The Park was amazing... Well planned and laid out. A little something for everyone. It was mystical and magical and almost surreal. Think Avatar..... I had one of the best days of my life here. Saw and did things I never dreamed I would get to do. The zip lining was beyond amazing. The butterflies were lovely. And to have a humming bird sit on your finger?? YES!! A thousand times YES!

The hanging bridges offered a really cool view of the upper level of the rain forest in the clouds. We walked independent of a tour since we did a tour in the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve the day before. The views were breathtaking. Jurassic Park meets Avatar!
The Hummingbird Garden at the end of the trail was mesmerizing. Definitely worth seeing.
