Our room was dated, but definitely large and with a great view. The rooms are a short hike from the main building, down a ravine and across a small creek. Nothing strenuous, but worth noting. Randall gave us a ride with our bags, but for breakfast we made the hike. The hummingbirds were one of my favorite parts of this place - so fun! Randall is a perfect host - offering rides, cooking meals for us when we didn't feel like going into town, and making any reservation we would need for tours and attractions. The distance from town was probably the biggest reason for the lower score. For the price, this is a nice choice.

We stayed here for 2 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The rooms are very spacious and clean. We loved sitting in the rocking chairs on porch of the room and taking in the view. The trails around the property are a nice touch, and allow you to see lots of different kinds of wildlife and plants. Randall and his family were very helpful, and helped us book all our activities while we were there. Breakfast was wonderful, as was watching the hummingbirds on the back porch of the coffee shop. If we are ever back in Monteverde, we will definitely stay here again!

We stopped here on our private horseback ride (highly recommend monteverde horse trek) as part of our ride and they already had the meal prepared for us. Chicken, rice, beans, salad, beets, cucumber. It was the delicious local cuisine we were wanton to experience. They have a bak porch for birdwatching with a nice view. Our first meal was the blandest food I have ever eaten and do not recommend the treehouse restaurant except maybe for drinks since the atmosphere is definitely a must see.

My husband and I had an amazing 3 nights at Belcruz. Randal and his family are one of a kind. They offered us a warm welcome and helped us to plan our time in Monteverde. The rooms are large, very clean and quite charming as they are in farm and away from the roads.

My husband and I stayed at Belcruz B&B for two nights in November 2013. Randall and his family are wonderful. We drove in from Liberia in a rental car and arrived fairly late. He offered to let us eat supper with them, we declined, but what a wonderful thing to do. They are located a little ways from Monteverde, so you have plenty of peace and quite and what a view! Randall recommended some tours to take and recommended places to eat. On their back porch of the office you can watch the beautiful humming birds, eat breakfast and walk the trail back to your room. The breakfast was wonderful, homemade granola cereal, fresh fruit, toast and eggs to order. The rooms are very cozy, clean and roomy with hot water. There is no wifi at your room but you can get on at their office.

We stumbled upon this enchanting coffee shop by car driving from Tamarindo. Randall, the owner is incredibly welcoming and helpful. He made recommendations for different tours we enquirerd about and he pointed us in the right direction. We had some of the best coffee we had the entire time we were in Costa Rica and sat on the back porch where hummingbirds zipped around and the views were breathtaking. Don't miss this place if you can help it!
