“Fresh, flavorful food”
Reviewed August 10, 2013

We came here twice during our 2-day visit to Monteverde because all the ingredients they use are so fresh. The salads are the thing to get - huge, loaded with fresh veggies and a good variety of choices. The wraps are also very good and creative. Sit on the patio which overlooks the forest. Very peaceful. For drinks be sure to try the Ginger Mint Tea - it's a frozen blended drink with a surprisingly refreshing taste.

“Excellent Food and Fantastic Chocolate Tour”
Reviewed July 27, 2013

This restaurant was recommended to us. The food was really high-quality and delicious. We sat on the balcony and the clouds rolled in around us. It was quite a beautiful site. We spoke to Susanah and Bob, the owners. Susanah created the menu based on all of the places she's travelled to so it's quite a variety of food. Bob did the chocolate tour right after lunch. The chocolate was decadent. He explained the entire production of chocolate starting from the cacao tree and gave us a history on the origin of chocolate. I felt like I got a real understanding about how chocolate is produced, how time consuming it is and how much love it put into real chocolate.

“Great food and service”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

My family visited Cabure Restaurant after reading a review on www.monteverdetours.com restaurant guide. We were not disappointed! Great views from the balcony restaurant. Good food and great service, Food was fresh and a little bit different from the usually menus in Costa Rica, probably because the owner is from Argentina and lives to incorporate the flavours.

I would recommend this restaurant to those coming to Monteverde Costa Rica

“Delicious Discovery in Monteverde”
Reviewed July 17, 2013

My boyfriend and I found this restaurant after a visit to the bat jungle (which is downstairs). We loved the architecture of the building and how it blends with the natural surroundings. I was lured by the special dessert, tres leches flan. We had a delicious lunch of chicken empanadas and wraps, but they were out of flan! Jenny, our server, promised to save us some if we came back...which we did, for dinner. Also very good (chicken mole, nice wine)...and I'm still dreaming of the flan! We had a nice conversation with the owner, a western Mass expat, and dining on the deck was relaxing...go at sunset to get a full experience! (Unclear why a reviewer would prefer pizza over this restaurant, but we had two good meals here...pizza was the last thing we wanted traveling in Costa Rica :)

“Not sure......”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

We were attracted to try this by all the TripAdvisor reviews, but were not convinced by the experience and felt we would have done better going to the nearby popular Tramonti pizza restaurant despite having gone to Johhny's pizza the night before. Cabure seemed to have an eclectic menu, nothing Argentine, food was quite good, but a glass of white wine had to be sent back and we just felt the experience was slightly false. Monteverde has many "mushroom restaurants", here today, gone tomorrow, but Cabure has been around for several years at least.
