At a loose end and both not working my lady and I were looking for somewhere to have a Sunday Lunch ,I drive a lot for a living so didn't want to get in the car , public transport is a bit scarce in Warminster but the buses do run to Westbury and someone had told us the Hollies had just been refurbed,
We set off from Warminster and alighted in Chalford and after a quick pint in the Bell (a great little pub) it is only a short walk to the Hollies Inn, You walk into a comfortable spacious lounge bar , the beer good and the staff friendly.
We both ordered the beef and were shown through to a table in the restaurant , the food arrived promptly and was well presented, to say the beef was succulent is not doing it justice it was like the best steak sliced thin , the vegetables were plentiful and very tasty and roast potatoes crisp , this meal was a joy.
Quite simply the best Sunday lunch I have had in a while and at pub lunch price ! .More
