“Definitely must see place”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

Not far from the airport (1.5 hour), bordering with two-lane street, so the first line of buildings is very noisy. Definitely one of the roomiest places far and near - garden, beach, pools. Extremly soft beds - sleeping was the only problem for us. Services perfect, with regard to the paid ice cream. Primary communication languages are German and in some cases Russian which well correlates with the structure of the hotel guests - in both cases very cultivated, a good surprise. I also registered several cases of gluttony and alarming number of people coping with obesity. Marek, Czech republic.

I stayed there for 7 nights and had a very good package deal (370,00 € for a single room with half board and flight Munich-Alanya-Munich) so I didn´t have too high expectations. The adavantages: it´s not one big building but small houses with 6-8 rooms. That means there is more space to walk outside then in other places. Some people might not like this but I found it very good, especially because the garden and the whole place is very well maintained. The rooms are spacious and spotless. The bufet offers a lot of different choices of fresh warm and cold food - everybody can find something there. Most of the staff is friendly and tries to be helpfull. Disadvantages: it´s located in an area I normally wouldn´t choose for my vacation, one hotel next to the other and nothing else around. It´s definitely some kind of a mass processing place, so don´t expect any responsivity to special needs. The food wasn´t really great, because it of course is being made for the average guest who probably doesn´t really want original local food. But I must say, that I´m kind of picky with food. It´s also not really quiet. On the last 2 days they started with some kind of entertainment programme, playing loud music and some animators trying to bring people to dance around the pool. I can only imagine what is going on there during season... For the time being and for what it is, I found it absolutly acceptable.

I have just spent a week at this hotel in Turkey. It is nicely designed with wonderful gardens and the rooms are good if a little basic in decor. The food was abundant and there was plenty for vegetarians on the cold buffet but the hot buffet was disappointing. The sweets were the one part that gave a flavour of Turkey and were really good. The shiatsu massage (with Rekima) I had at the spa was very good.
However the training of the staff to deal with complaints could be improved. I travelled with a handicapped friend and she was upset when she was put on the third floor with no lift. The staff did not exactly bend over backwards to sort out this situation. In the end she did get a ground floor room with a shower but we were told there were only six of them in the hotel. Otherwise rooms came with a bath which one had to climb into to have a shower. The hotel is sited on a slope so there were lots of steps to access the public rooms which was not easy for my friend. She also found it difficult walking around after dark as the lighting level was quite low.
We had arrived with Turkish Lira and were quite surprised that noone wanted them. All they wanted was Euros. It was also odd that one could not buy a drink in the bar or restaurant with cash. For each drink one was given a chit, which had to be taken to reception at the end of the stay where one queued up to pay.
If this hotel wants to be considered 5 star perhaps they should put a bit more effort into staff training.

Beautyfull houses with tropical garden. Rooms are ok, quality of bed ok. Double bed is 1m20 very small. Very clean! The restaurant is excellent. The food is very, very good. always fresh fruit...Only the coffee and juices really not good. Lots of germans, people from poland, turkish and Belgian tourist. You don't have to get up at 6am to have a chair at the pool, in the garden. Always chairs available at the sea. Great place to swim in the sea. Excellent pools certainly for the kids. Animation team is very friendl. they are all very good dancers so every night there is a dance show. there is no animation for teanagers!! Only for small childeren. The teanagers have to entertain themselve and look for other people of their age. There is really nothing outside the hotel...a market once a week and a bazaar at 1 km. The reception desk does not speak wel English, only one girl speaks French. The language is turkish, german and russian or is it polish???

We stayed in Gypsophila for 2 weeks and must say it was perfect!
Food was great, for both adults and kids, not boring after two weeks and always delicious. Rooms were clean and nice, bottle of water delivered every day.
Animation team was friendly and enthusiastic, their shows were good and lots of entertainment during the day. Pools very good too.
Only 2 things were little bit disappointing but not to the extent that would make us not to come back - 1) the drinks - the hotel only serves local produce and doesnt give an option to buy branded. they make up for this by making different kind of coctail every day, which is what we usually went for. 2) the beach is pebbles and sand, you need shoes and the sea goes deeper quickly so not ideal for frolicking with little ones, also the waves are quite strong and pull back.
one tip - when booking room avoid the first line of appartment houses near the road, it is quite loud.
all in all this was a holiday we really enjoyed and came back relaxed and recharged.
