This was brilliant! we stayed for a few days, ate everything that was grown on the farm itself and enjoyed the talks with the familiy who runs the place. I ate figs from their land, yoghurt from their own kettle, fruit from their trees and tried the wine from their vineyard. All excellent!
We even had a small birthday party where everyone was invited.
Then finally, I forgot my coat.. I emailed them and they sent it to my home in the Netherlands. Excellent service!
All in all I had a wonderful time at Sardinia, but this was my favorite place on the whole island.

We had dinner here twice and the meal was fantastic. 8 different dishes, each one of them better than the other for a great price (30Eur per person incl homemade wine). The hosts were very friendly and made sure we had a wonderful time.
Would definitely come here again!

This was the first agriturismo we stayed at on our 10 day trip and it was easily one of the best in terms of hospitality and being the most authentic. If you're looking to immerse yourself fully into Sardinian farm life then Agriturismo Marongiu is a must! My jaw dropped to the floor when we pulled up at this property, mainly due to the remoteness of it all. Surrounded by vineyards, olive trees and farm animals it is the perfect place to achieve that feeling of getting away from it all.

Guido and Francesa were lovely hosts and for the 3 days we stayed there they really made us feel part of their family. Francesca is the only person that speaks English here, however Guido made every effort to communicate with us using gestures, sounds and photographs. Seeing as it was my partner's surprise 30th birthday, Francesca offered to make a cake which she was planning to present on the first night we ate there. This was pulled off to perfection! Guido flipped the switch on the fuse box to make it look as though there was a power cut and out of nowhere came the most beautifully designed birthday cake I have ever seen! Lots of brownie points for me.

The dinners we ate here were absolutely amazing. Pretty much everything is sourced locally, with all of the meat coming directly from the farm. The homemade cannonau wine was great too, so much so that we even took a couple of bottles with us! The room was simply decorated but extremely private seeing as it's located in its own little outhouse.

There is a lot to see and do in the local area including beach visits, trekking, mountain biking and photography. If you have the time I would strongly recommend taking a quick walk around the farm in the early morning - here you will see pigs, goats, sheep, roosters and even an ostrich! If you have kids then I am sure that they will love this!

Thank you Guido and Francesa, you are truly amazing hosts and we will be sure to return in the future!

Agriturismo Marongiu was our first stop on a 2-week tour of Sardinia and turned out to be our favourite of the 5 agriturismi we tried on our trip. Great location for the beautiful south-east coastline and for outings into the nearby mountains, as well as close enough to Cagliari. The all home produced and cooked food was simply fantastic and the hospitality wonderful! It was also great to see the daily life of the farm (and we loved the little wild boars and piglets!). We will certainly return!

I have known Agriturismo Marongiu since I was a child as I used to spend my summer holidays in the area. I often went there for dinner when at that time they didn't offer accommodation yet. It was like going back in time, and feeling like being in my second family.
I recently went there for a short stay with my partner and, although they have grown their business, the atmosphere is still the same. It always feels like being at home.
The food is excellent, from the traditional Sardinian specialities to the unusual and original recipes. Everything is home made and genuine and the products come from their own farm, from the milk that you drink at breakfast to you start your day, to the wine and liquors that you enjoy before going to bed after a filling dinner.
The rooms are nice and cosy, simply furnished as the Sardinian culture that represent, isolated from the crowd where you can be waken up by the singing of birds or the sheep's bleat.

Room Tip: Ask to stay in one of the rooms next to the laundry. They belong to the old original farm house and...
