I've stayed here several times and after staying at a few other Marriott chain hotels in Europe this one is lacking in a few areas. Minor but still...
1. The breakfast buffet is ok but they need to cook the bacon - it's not ham and it should be crispy!!
2. Their pancakes are dry - VERY dry even when you add syrup and berries.
3. They have lots of television stations on their satellite system in at least 7-8 languages but not one station in English (except the news) it would be nice for english speaking guests to watch a movie on TV. I was at the Marriott in Frankfurt and they had two stations that play U.S. / American TV shows in english. Out of the 50+ stations it isn't asking too much!!
4. Don't pay the extra money for high speed internet - I wanted to do a video conference with my parents in the USA , tried with the free high speed internet and it was very slow/choppy. So I signed up for the 14.35e service and it was slower!! I even spent half an hour on the phone with iBahn and no luck. Tried wired via CAT5 and the wireless and it just wasn't happening.

Every place can use a bit of improvement and this place just needs a little bit more.... I like the location it's close to the airport but not too close. And the staff are attentive just those few things.

Room Tip: Check in !!

This was a real surprise. Close to supermarkets (2) a Carefour. Bus in one block. Easy too downtown on bus 66 and airport on bus 12. What is not to like. A few local restaurants near nice quiet area. Brussels downtown was minutes away.

Room Tip: the higher the better.

The staff at the Courtyard Marriott is extremely friendly and helpful, the room was spacious, clean, and had a nice view of the Atomium. We especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffett and the selection of beers at the bar. I would definetly stay there again, this hotel is an excellent value.

This is a phenonemally run Courtyard tha should be a template for the entire brand. It is as clean as any hotel which I've stayed -- and that was Mom's first comment when she checked into to her room last weekend. The staff should also be a prototype for the brand as well. Our front office superstar -- Jessica --- was simply incredible. It's a shame more Hospitality people don't get that being friendly, knowledgable and efficient go a long way to making guests happy. Our group of 4 are not an easy lot. We ask a lot of questions especially in a location for the first. That didn't bother Jessica nor anyone in the hotel. That's appreciated.

Here's the "if"....If you have business at NATO or near the airport -- and IF you have a car, you'll probably be ahead of the game. Marriott offered a Rewards deal on the weekend (58 euro including breakfast) which was impossible to turn down considering - we needed only a layover hotel before heading by car into France. (Parking is free on weekend and can be free on the city lots).

There is food to be had - either a 3 minute cab (or shuttle) ride or a 15 minute walk to Chaussee De Louvain. We counted Italian, Greek and Bistro cuisine within a block, There's also a Pizza Hut if you so desire.

The hotel is on several bus lines which can take you into Brussels to the local shopping center or to the airport. It's not centrally located by any means - but if you need a place to be NEAR the city or Airport -- skip the high priced places and give it a shot.

We returned from France three nights later and were treated likle returning family. There, in itself, is worth the rating.

Room Tip: Pick a city view room. You'll also get very nice sunsets.
