I stayed here for 2 nights and really loved it.Bed is confortable, bio breakfast was nice. Fantastic view in de bedroom and wintergarden, even the shower has a view over the Atomium! The tram and bicycle station is just across the street and the metro and train station is 5 minutes walk. You can walk easily to La Grand Place. Le Pham gave me a lot of info about things to do in Brussels. There is also a laptop with free wifi and a television with dvd player available in the apartment.

I booked a three-day stay at Aviation19 for my overseas friends. The appartement was really great and beautifully decorated. Leke (our host) had just finished renovating, so they were one of the first to enjoy the freshly painted rooms. They just loved the colors!.
After a warm welcome, Leke provided all the necessary info about what's going on in Brussels and interesting places to visit.
Breakfast is self-service but is really amazing as the fridge is full of fresh fruit and drinks and all you need. If you like beer, there might be even a small surprise ;-)
Having breakfast in the wintergarden with a spectacular view over Brussels was really special to them, there isn't a better way to start your day.
The square itself is car-free and well situated for walking around town as well as for public transport.
Thank you again for all your help and a wonderful stay!

Me and my boyrfriend have recently returned from a four night trip to Brussels staying in Aviation19 and we loved it.

Leke, the owner of the apartment, was brilliant and went to a lot of effort to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as she possibly could - the fridge was stocked with lots of breakfast goodies every day (plus a few little surprises such as waffles and eclairs) and after mentioning that we were very hot one night she change the bedding to a summer cover for us. She even got a map/guide for Antwerp for us after we mentioned we were thinking of visiting for the day!

She was also incredibly helpful after we (very stupidly) left one of bags on the train from the airport to the apartment. We were very lucky in getting the bag back but couldn't have done it without Leke's help translating and her advice on who to contact!

The apartment itself was lovely and very spacious. The balcony got the sun almost all day and was lovely to relax on and the kitchen was well equiped with everything we needed to make our breakfast and lunches.

The square itself which Aviation19 is situation on is very nice and not 'dirty' at all - we didn't feel unsafe at night. The apartment is very close to the centre of Brussels as well which was very convenient!

In response the the review below, it is true that Leke does not stay in the same apartment or block however she responded almost immediately to any emails we sent her and visited the apartment every day to re-stock the fridge so we did not see this as an issue at all.

Overall we loved both Brussels and Aviation19 and would definitely stay here if we ever returned to Belguim. If you want to stay in a beautifully deocrated, spacious arpartment where you can come and go as you please and enjoy returning to little treats and personal touches then this is the place to stay!

This place is a relatively short distance from the train station however if you don't mind walking through the urine smelling, trash and dog feces laced streets. I know this is a heavy statement but my wife and I have done our fare share of travel throughout Europe and Brussels (this area) we found was a dirty city.

With alot of work this building and apartment could be a real gem, the hallway from the stairs to the door has pealing Lino the other tenants there leave items to clutter the halls. Once inside Aviation 19 one will find a sign saying "mind the other tenants don't wear your shoes inside, but wear slippers as there are nails popping out of the floor" .

PHAM did greet us and was nice enough to provide us with a map and other info for the stay but a flag was placed when she said "you won't be able to find me if you have any troubles, e-mail might be the best". We have stayed in many bed and breakfasts the owners stay in the same building and show you where they live. If the owner does not live in the same building I venture in saying there is something wrong here.
When we were looking for a place to stay this summer I should have been a bit more cautious as there are minimal reviews for this location and they are dated. When using Trip Advisor if there are alot of reviews and they are current that will be your best bet, just FYI.
Just to end this review I work in the Social Services industry in Canada and this building/apartment/area was very run down and felt unsafe. I don't want to appear extremely picky or slamming but we have placed many comments on Trip Advisor of our travels and the comments placed by others have been "Bang On" but not here.

This penthouse apartment has the best views of Brussels. Just for those views alone it's worth staying here. But there's so much more to this cute apartment. Location: 5 mins walk from Midi station. Walking distance to Grand Place, Palais de Justice, museums... everything else is a short train or metro ride away. Within a few steps are grocery stores, cafes, restaurants. I felt completely safe walking around in this neighborhood. The hosts: they provided generous, healthy food items for breakfast that lasted us for lunch and snacks during the day as well. They were extremely helpful, provided many useful tidbits of information for our visit, even brought us special items, such as no sugar options for my diabetic mom! They really went above and beyond the usual host level of service. I loved the espresso machine to make our morning lattes. We made simple meals, relaxed in the sun room/enclosed balcony watching the sunset, or used the internet on the laptop provided. The TV was a nice added bonus as well after a long day out sightseeing. There is no couch in the living room and no dining table and chairs, but we were perfectly comfortable sitting at the kitchen bar or on chairs with the coffee table as our dining space. The bathroom is spacious and has modern touches, but also has the older original sinks. Charming! Beds were comfortable. This two bedroom apartment with fresh breezes from the large windows was ideal for the three of us traveling together. If we're ever in Brussels again, I plan to stay here!

Room Tip: You have to rent the entire apartment -- two bedrooms.
