Stag's Hollow Winery

Owner description: Established in 1995, Stag's Hollow, a family-owned winery, produces many of British Columbia's most distinctive and unique wines. Innovative, with a spirit to experiment with new wines and grapes, the winery team researched and planted grapes not commonly grow in the Okanagan but suited to the area soils and microclimate. These varietals include Tempranillo and Albarino from Spain, Grenache and Marsanne from the Rhone Valley and Dolcetto and Teraldago from Italy. These interesting varietals offer a new tasting experience for Okanagan Wine lovers allowing them to discover new wines from around the world but grown in Okanagan Falls.

We visited Stags Hollow in late October 2013 and found it to be a beautiful winery with a small tasting room. We tasted about 4 wines and bought the 2010 Renaissance Merlot for around 30 dollars a bottle because it was the best tasting wine there. We opened it, when we got back home to Vancouver and it tasted so bad we couldn't drink it. We are using it now as a cooking wine, very unfortunate after spending that kind of money.

We are sorry that the bottle that you went home with was off. Unfortunately wines under cork can become tainted or corked. This is totally out of the control of the winery and can happen in up to 10% of wines under cork to any winery. We will always replace a corked bottle and hope you will contact us.

We came in on a Thursday, read in the wine magazine about there Cab Franc and Tempranilo. The lady in the wine shop told us that they did not do Tempranilo or Cab Franc that day , so come back tomorrow . We went to Tinhorn instead and bought 2 cases of Cab Franc , and Tempranilo from Moon curser. Mind boggeling customer care , carry on like this Stag Hollow, I was reminded by some other wine lovers , about your interpretations of customer care.

Did a quick wine tasting here! Very charming place. They have a decent selection of wines. They will do one complimentary tasting, or you can taste 5 for $2. My husband really liked the tragically Vidal wine! Some of the reds were a bit pricey, but all of the wines were good!

The first stop on our wine tour. The winery is beautiful, the wine lady was very knowledgable and poured very nice tastings. The wine is fantastic, if you get out there buy a bottle of the Tragically Vidal, it's only available from the winery.

Toured this winery with friends. Knowledgable folks provided us with a tour of their winery with wine tasting. They specialize in red wines. Recommend this as a stop on your
Okanagan wine tours.
