“Fantastic! Highly recommended.”

I would highly recommend the Kings Canyon Tour by ATT Kings if you have the time!

We were collected from our hotel at about 5am by our two tour guides for the day - Lu and Adam - both very friendly and highly knowledgeable!

It is a long distance - about 600kms return so be prepared but it is highly worth it. After a few hours nap, you will arrive at Kings Creek Station for breakfast. Yes, this breakfast wasn't the best I've had but you are in the middle of nowhere!

The Rim Walk was fantastic - I would highly recommend it.

Make sure you take enough water to last - we took 3 litres each and this was in the winter period! It was roughly 22 degrees which made it a comfortable walking heat. The guides will tell you multiple times about taking enough water so please listen! They aren't just telling you this for nothing.

The guides we had were fantastic and I would highly recommend a tour with Lu and Adam!

If I was to do our trip again, I would definitely do the Kings Canyon Tour!

Was staying at Desert Gardens Uluru so this trip is a long 2 hours by coach in both directions before getting to the canyon, interrupted on the way out only by breakfast at a rip-off joint Kings Creek Station and on the return to see salt lakes and an aromatic dunny. The canyon itself is very scenic but is not as unusual a feature as Uluru or Kata Tjuta. There are similar canyons across the globe. It is also extremely hot so you need to have a good think before embarking on the upper route climb. The guides are however very good and keep a close safe eye on their charges. Overall, on reflection I'd say not really worth the effort involved. If you're staying close by, fine give it a go.
