I love the place. It is a small haven from the hectic life of centre of Buenos Aires (or anywhere to that matter). Juan, the front desk attendant, was wonderful; he helped me in many things I needed from accessing the free wi-fi to having the power adaptor to getting me a cab to the airport. I highly recommend this place if you live in the city as a place to get away for the weekend or if you do not live in the city as a quiet place where you can access the center of BA but enjoy a beautiful scenery.

After an initial issue with the proposed cost of our stay (the bill was presented on our arrival, and included an extra undetermined "fee" for ~U$S230, but it was removed), we had a very good time at this hotel. Specific comments are below:

- LOCATION:
-->Warning to non-local tourists: Choose this hotel only if you want to stay in the nicer suburbs, or if you are an experienced traveler in Buenos Aires, and know how to use public transportation and/or are willing to pay for "remises" (similar to taxicabs) to go into town. Otherwise, this may not be a good choice.

--> San Isidro (my hometown growing up) is a nice place. It is somewhat close to Tigre, another further-out suburb that has a lot of activities (casino, river boat tours, restaurants, game park, crafts) and is a tourist attraction. You may want to take the "tren de la costa", a few blocks away from the hotel, to get to Tigre. Or you may want to stick around and visit the cathedral (two blocks away) and it's weekend craft fair.

- HOTEL:

-->ROOM: We were in their "standard" room. It is a nice size. Since we faced the front of the building which is on the side of a busy avenue, we had a lot of street noise. The hotel was pretty much booked, so changing rooms was not easy (even if we paid more). With the A/C on, not only we slept comfortably but the noise was no longer an issue. Also, there was a very nicely-sized TV set.

--> FOOD: The breakfast bar had a lot of variety: pastries, including croissants ("medias lunas") and scones made in-house, fruit, cereal, bread, juices, coffee, etc. They charge for espresso, which we paid for since we were in Buenos Aires, where a "cafe" implies espresso. Although the "medias lunas" were OK, they didn't compare to others purchased at any coffee shop or restaurant. After a couple of times meadias lunas for breakfast at the hotel, we opted for having coffee and fruit there, and then going out to any of many local coffee shops to eat the pastries--we are Argentinian, and therefore, we not only know our medias lunas, but are picky about them :-).

--> SERVICE: It was really very good. Everybody at the hotel really took care of us, from the girls who made our espresso in the morning, to the desk personnel who was very attentive to any request, and help us with our airline-cancelled flight calls or calling taxicabs, or even found out information on local shops/services. Everybody was friendly. In addition, the cleaning staff did a really good job.

--> SPA: We did not use the spa, spa services, or the pool, so I cannot comment.

A FEW SUGGESTIONS:
- The bathroom in our room needed a shelf!
- The shower needed a door because the water would get out onto the bathroom floor (it was not only very wet but slippery, so we had to be extra careful).
- Get the "grasa" and "manteca" croissants from a local bakery (instead of making them in-house).

Room Tip: Front rooms are noisy (because they face a busy avenue).

This is a new boutique hotel located in San Isidro, a quiet and lovely suburb of Buenos Aires. If you are looking for a place to relax or chill this is it. It’s 40mins on the commuter train from Retiro, about 20km outside the city centre.

The hotel is beautiful – with ten rooms in total, photos of each are on their website. Rooms 5, 6, 7 and 8 have balconies that overlook the pool and garden. We stayed in room 7 and it was beautiful. The bathroom has a rain shower with side jets.

There is a spa in the basement, with a sauna and steam room. The hotel can organise for a therapist to come in – I had the aromatherapy massage and it was great. Breakfast is a buffet, typical in Argentina, with lots of pastries and fresh fruit salad – delicious.

The staff are all bilingual and their English is excellent. They are very helpful and the service was extremely good.

I would recommend this hotel – it is fabulous.
