We booked for Christmas. We loved the atmosphere. Even if it was full, it wasn't crowded, just because of a plenty of rooms in different style and shapes to enjoy the company. There were a couple of play rooms for kids and overall it was quiet and relaxing. The food was delicious (and the service very prepared for a family with kids with no waiting time), the owners were friendly and nice people. Our rooms were tidy and clean. Easy walking distance to the "skilift" that take you to the ski area (you don't need to drive there). We are thinking of going there again :)

We are just back from this beautiful hotel and we already miss it! Everything was perfect! Room, Spa, food, wines. The owners and all the staff are very kind and profesisonal! It's very confortable the skilift behind the hotel. We do hope to be there again soon!

Not knowing what to expect when my girlfriends parents booked our New Year's holiday in Italy, I must say Hotel Masl was quite impressive. This family run boutique hotel is right at the foot of the Gitschberg/Jochtal ski resort which provided such convenience for rolling out of bed each morning to an excellent breakfast, all smiles from the staff, then literally crossing the street to take the rope tow up to the gondola. We stayed for 7 days/nights and everyday the staff was exquisitely friendly and pleasant to be around. I would especially like to thank Pavel as well as the female owner of the hotel for their hospitality. I work for Marriott Hotels so I can be especially critical when staying places other than Marriott's, so I must say I was truly impressed by this hotel in every way - BRAVO! I could only be so lucky to have another opportunity to stay at Hotel Masl again in my life!

We spent a week in this nice hotel. I must say the service , the family feeling was like a second home away ,with an ambince that was perfect.Only thing one need to check is the beds. Pillows is hard and beds are to stiff for our taste.
Food was more tyrolean than Italian. But rest assured. The kitchen adjusts to each guests requests.Nice to have milk from the farm outside. Our kids loved to visitit the hotel (and the cows.)
The spa and pool was a hit. Now when hotel will open new pool that will be even better.
Ski sloops in Jochtal-Gitsberg is nice but a bit smallish if you are a good demanding skier looking for challanges.
There is other ski areas in near by. Sellaronda and Kronplatz. which can be reach by car.
Over all i must say the feeling and friendly atmoshpere makes this a special place for all of us.
We hope to be back!

Room Tip: try to get a famly room. Ensure to get softer beds and pillows, than romantic rooms.

Perfect for a ski-holiday, it is strongly suggested for the proximity to the sky-slope (you park your car day n.1 and you pick it up and the end of the holiday). In summer it is gorgeous for the nature and the tranquillity.
It has nothing to envy to a 4 stars hotel, it offers all you need for a great time (nice rooms, 2 spas, wellness treatments, swimming pool, gym, a space for the babyes, great food and a cave for local wine testing).
I suggest to book it few months earlier in order to find a room and reserve a brand new one!

Room Tip: Ask for brand new appartments or rooms. Depandance is recomended only if hotel is fully booked!

My family and I spent a week at Hotel MASL for a late season skiing trip. We were thoroughly impressed with the quality of service and attention to detail. The rooms were beautifully clean and tidy with impressive valley views the ambience of the surrounding countryside was a welcome change from city life.
The quality of breakfast and dinner was quite amazing with a huge variety of hams, cheeses, salads, pastries, cakes, yoghurts, cereals and fresh fruit available. Each evening the dinner menu was impressive with five courses served with a great deal of pride and presentation.
It is clear that the Messner family has collectively united a great team of staff and family members to deliver a first class hotel destination and the health, fitness and beauty treatments make a welcome relief from the ski activity.
Congratulations to the team and we look forward to returning!

We had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Masl during our winter holiday in February. We were very exited due to what we were in for as we did not know anything about the area. The hotel was a succes from the moment we parked our car! The hospitality, the great food, the size of the room, the pool-area, the staff - everything was much more and much better than we dared to hope for. We will return to this great little hidden juvel! Our only concern is that it must be difficult to get a room in the future as more and more people get familiar with this place!
Concerning the skiarea, one should take into consideration, that the area is pretty small. However, it was not a problem tous, as we went by car to the nearby skiresorts for some of the days. They can be reached within 30 minutes by car (Plose, Kronplatz etc.).

Room Tip: Room 101 and 102 are family rooms - they are big and perfect and on the 1st floor together with the...
