We dined here tonight (8th October 2013) from the Menu del Dia (served between 7.30 -830pm costing 18.90 euros). For starters we had salmon with wasabi / mussels (much larger than at home), followed by rainbow trout / pork medallions, then crème Brule / strawberries and cream. The price included a selection of drinks. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. "Los Romanticos" serenaded us with a playlist of songs to choose from, sounds cringeworthy but was in fact wonderful! The owner, Eddy, greeted everyone personally- a very nice touch. Right on the seafront, it really was near perfection. The only problem, as we have found everywhere at this time of year, you may have one glass of wine but if you order the same they will offer you something "similar, but different" as they are all running their stocks down. All in all, the best meal we have had in the area- definitely recommended!

We asked our hotel to book this restaurnat as had read on trip advisor it was busy. This was by far the best food we had at the seafront, a little pricey for the a la carte menu but we had the specials which was served between 7.30 and 8.30, it was around 19 euros each for three courses plus a bottle of wine to share. the food tasted amazing and the pasta was cooked to perfection. We were a little disaponited with the deserts which we had cheesecake and tiramisu and didnt think they were anything special but thats just our opinion. As previous reviewers have said the owner Eddy comes out to you before you pay your bill and this was a nice touch.

We had heard about the restaurant and waited until our last night to go. Make sure you book If you want to sit outside, also save your pennies because it is not cheap. But the food was really fab and the menu was innovative. The waiter (Cuban - and enthusiastic) was able help us choose. The tuna dishes were lovely. We also benefited from the guitar playing at the next door Restaurante- Saturday night bonus? Pre book desserts as fresh cheese cake ran out! Only slight negative was that they toilets needed a tidy up... But were clean- but that is being picky! I will certainly go here rather than the ponderosa which we gave a second chance and won't go to again.

Because of the many glowing reviews of this restaurant and it's lofty position among the many restaurants in Campello my expectations of it were very high . The restaurant enjoys a great , frontline sea view , but this is common to all restaurants in this area and is far from unique.
The menu is good , but not great , and in common with many pretentious menus , gives grandiose names to what are after all just fairly basic dishes with a ' twist '.
The decor is good , and the seating both generous and comfortable. The waiting staff are keen and attentive , but stay only barely the right side of intrusive and overly-fussy.
On the night we dined , we were entertained by a talented and enjoyable trio known as Los Romanticos . Tipping them for their songs was unnecessary as their fee for the evening had clearly been factored in to the overall cost of the meal , which for this type of restaurant in this part of Spain was somewhat on the high side.
Overall , whilst this may be a restaurant to take somebody to if you wish to make ' a statement ' , my opinion is that it is a little over-hyped and does not deserve a rating above the longer established La Cova , or the clearly superior pricing , food quality and choice of Mims

One of the best restaurants on the Alicante coastal area. Always eat here when staying in Campello. The mid-week offers are a steal, the service is always fantastic.
