3 of us went for lunch at Mim's the restaurant is nicely decorated and clean. The amosphere was relaxed both the food and service were excellent. We sat inside but when the weather is good they have a terrace to eat outside, the views across to the sea from the terrace are lovely. The choice was from the 3 or 4 course menu's. The choice on each menu was really varied, we each had something different and every course was excellent. The staff were superb very efficient with a calmness about them. Our only gripe was the wine that came with the meal was of a poor quality. We have so many good wines in Spain that really do not cost very much, I really do not understand why better care is not taken when selecting house wines.

We visited Mim's on our most recent trip to El Campello.
We have previously eaten on a number of occasions at John's former restaurant in Busot and had an idea of what to expect at his most recent venture although we had not spoken to anyone who had visited Mim's previously.
To say that we were not disappointed would be a complete understatement. We took 2 of our friends who were visiting us from England in the evening and we all chose the 4 course set menu at 17.50 euros which was inclusive of a bottle of wine per couple.
The style of menu pretty much followed John's approach at La Casa in Busot with some of his old favourites on the menu and with some interesting new additions.
There was a wide choice for all 4 courses and the overall quality of preparation, presentation and taste was fabulous.
We visited on a Thursday evening in November so the place was by no means full but nevertheless 6 or 7 tables were occupied and there was a pleasant atmosphere.
Service from a young Spanish girl was attentive without being intrusive and she admirably dealt with all tables in a very efficient way although I sense that there would be more front of house staff needed when the restaurant is full.
I would not hesitate to return to Mim's and will be doing so next month and probably quite a few times in 2013 (austerity measures permitting!).
I recommend everyone to pay a visit. It is as good a meal as anywhere in El Campello and the overall experience is first class - you will not be disappointed!!!

We've been keen supportres of John the chef at Mims for years. He was previously the chef at La Cova in El Campello, then took a restaurant in Busot and finally moved to Mims.We have visited at lunchtime and at night time in various numbers including a birthday party with 30+ people and the quality of food has remained high.We visited at lunchtime the other day with friends. The menu seems to have changed very recently as when we visited we had a choice of two menus de dia. One at 15.95 three courses plus drink with lots of choice and another at 10.95 again three courses plus drink but with not much choice. So the 4 course lunch seems to have disappeared. We wanted to sit outside but there was only one sun umbrella and that was in use. So, John ,the outside terrace is beautiful, get another couple of brollies. As usual the food was excellent and the service very good. The place is easy to find at km 124 post on N332 just North of El Campello. As we live inland it's a fair trip to get to this place but it is definately worth it.

Where to begin? Being citizens of El Campello, we do try to get around the various restaurants as much as possible... and there are quite a few good ones on offer... offering a variety of food to suit all tastes. Generally speaking, La Cova and Las Seis Perlas are reckoned to be reasonably good, albeit a bit pricey, and I would ordinarily recommend both these places... however, stop for a moment! In all honesty, I would now have a change of opinion regarding this last statement and seriously recommend that any 'would be' diner (local or passing) try Mim's and their excellent 4 course lunch meal... as we did ourselves on a recommendation. €17.50 each (€35) gave us a goats cheese tart, tuna salad, soya glazed prawns, spiced mushroom pasta, saddle of lamb, and sole in a cream sauce... including chocolate cake and a coffee, and our other drinks. Food was excellent, the staff (even down to John the chef) extremely pleasant and helpful, and considering that it was a Monday lunchtime... a very good atmosphere. Try Mim's if you get the chance, you certainly won't regret it. Just along the N332 (from Alicante, on the right, just before the Campello tunnel - from Valencia, on the left, just after the same tunnel) at Colmar. We will definitely be going back!!!
