Hi, Just returned from a week at this hotel, we booked at the last minute for a week in the sun.
Room, best we have ever stayed in on an all inclusive deal as most are tiny, lovely balcony overlooking the pool.
Animation team great fun to watch, Barceló Beach dance, the guys worked really hard and were fun.
Yes, the sun shone lovely, we never found that you could not get a sunbed whatever time you went to the pool. Pool area very clean and well kept, although some people were very thoughtless to bring glasses of drink to the poolside, lots of kiddies running around, we were told no glass first day but as the week got busier nobody stopped them.
Drinks through the day were not a problem, at night the queue was pretty long and with only 2 bar staff on with orders to supply only 2 alcoholic drinks per person, if you were in a large company the queues got longer and longer taking 30 minutes to get served, there were a lot of complaints as the bar staff were serving people who just walked to the front of the queue, comments from a bar waiter that the '' English drink too fast '' did not go down too well!. They have upgraded alcoholic drinks to more premium brands on all inclusive.
Food was ok but very repetitive, yes, you could always find something but for a 4* I was expecting a better choice. Meal times resembled the school dinner hall, with only one restaurant open with 2 shifts to feed so many things got a little too noisy, plus only 45 minutes to eat your food then out!.
Day 2 I had Paella and found a thick piece of Perspex about 1.5cm, I told the waiter he brought the customer relations guy, he apologised, its bought in from another company, I did not want a fuss and was not going to mention it but thought if an elderly person or a child who may have swallowed it could have choked them, he took my room number but at the end of the week no mention of the matter, I do think the management should have at least contacted me to say they had spoke to the company who made the paella and assured it was being dealt with.
We had a nice time, met some lovely people but we would not return, its the first year Thomas Cook have been in the hotel and I think they should take on board peoples comments if they want to attract more English people, some are trivial but being classed as a 4* in Spain maybe different to 4* in Turkey.
