This is a great piece of Scottish history and it's nice to see it so well maintained. The Castle is very interesting with loads to see and read about. The staff are also very informative and helpful.
We went on a rainy October day and stopped off for a tour round the castle and a coffee and cake. Both were great. We have seen the gardens before, well worth a visit, but didn't stop this time as it was pouring. Regardless of the rain a piper still marched round the front of the castle on the hour playing the bagpipes and he was happy to stand for photos.
